64 Players at worlds in each age division.

So, will it be a big bracket (64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1)??

Becuase... I think so. :-(

I highly doubt it. They wouldn't pay for expensive trips to get half of the people only having to play 1 game and then go home again :/

I'm thinking 6 rounds (is it 6?) and then T16

If they did that, how would they determine who gets what seed? MAYBE they'll have Swiss to determine the seeds, and then have everyone compete single-elimination second day. But I don't see that happening either. Probably Swiss and then top 16.

They're just gonna do it normally with 6 rounds of swiss on Saturday followed up by T16 on Sunday. It would make no sense so run a whole tourney just to see who gets what seeding.

I've done this one before.

64

32 - 32

16 - 32 - 16

8 - 24 - 24 - 8

4 - 16 - 24 - 16 - 4

2 - 10 - 20 - 20 - 10 - 2

1 - 6 - 15 - 20 - 15 - 6 - 1

All 5-1s and 6-0s make it. 9/15 4-2s will make it.

Or, they could do it like the Japanese did it in the last two TMB's in 2001 and 2002.

- pre-constructed decks for swiss rounds.
- modified constructed for the playoffs.

- 8-player pods for the swiss rounds.
- winner of each pod advances to the playoffs.
- remaining 8 spots given out to other players based on records and tiebreakers.
- random playoff pairings.
- single-elim playoffs.

Mabye it will be six swiss rounds on one day, then cut top 8 next day, and they play round robin.
Or better yet, just make the whole thing straight swiss. Elimination is nooooooooooooooo fun...:nonono:

Darts.

Vince: Congratulations, World Champion!

Of course, FS's scenario assumes we have exactly 64 players in every round.

???

I thought the tourneys were each player got the same cards, and each player had to decide what cards to use out of those, and then they played in 4 pod groups... best 1 moved one... (If 2 Were Tied) Prize Card Differential Was Used...

Um,

I think that if they did 64 best 2 out of 3
the pairings would be completely random...

Please no pre-constructed.
9/15 4-2s seems like a lot to get in. 7 rounds and almost only 5-2 or better seems better imo.
