Hi,

Seeing as I won't be attending worlds this year I was wondering the location for next years worlds?

Does anybody know any news about the next worlds and it's location?

Thanks, Samuel.

I don't think anyone knows for sure (well, that would comment that is lol).
If the pattern holds, it will be in Anaheim. Just a guess though, take it for what it's worth. ; )

Worlds for the next year is always announced at Worlds and Worlds alone. In about a 5 weeks when Worlds takes place it will no doubt be posted here as to let everyone know where it is in 2010.

There is NO pattern. As much as you like to think there is, there isn't as having a sequence of 2 place is not a pattern yet unless it is in Anaheim and then it is indeed a pattern. I expect it to be in a new place next year but I could be wrong as I am pretty sure it won't be in Hawaii again as a lot of players who couldn't go were upset as it was super expensive to get there, but it WAS a blast as Hawaii was awesome.

Clearly it will be at Vegas baby!

Everyone knows it makes sense, plenty of things for the parents to do = higher turnout.

See you there!

With all those casinos, what can kids do? I'd personally want Worlds 2010 to be in Hawaii.

You are SORELY mistaken if you think that there is nothing for Kids to do. There is a HECK of a lot. Hawaii is just too expensive. It was about double what it cost to everywhere else. It is the one place that I would have trouble justifying going again. I love going to Worlds, but Hawaii would be really hard.

As far as Las Vegas, there are a lot of things for Kids to do. It is much more than you think. I am pretty sure you would be shocked at how much there is to do. If you plan accordingly there is a LOT of things that the whole family will be able to do. I personally would not be opposed to Vegas as I have been 3 times before, 2 times to play in the Roller Hockey National Championships and the other as a Vacation. It was a BLAST all 3 times and all 3 I was too young to play any Casino games yet I had a blast without having the ability to gamble.

Las Vegas has become a very family friendly city. There are many things for children and adults to do, certainly more than there was about 10 years ago.:thumb:

While obviously, I'll be biased and say New York for Worlds 2010, I am open to other locations in the US. I'd like to see places like Seattle, Chicago, Las Vegas, and probably Dallas (Texas) have Worlds, not just New York City.

For everyone saying Texas, the only City in Texas that should have Worlds is San Antonio. It has a lot of things to do and the River Walk is AMAZING!!

I disagree. It should be held in either Dallas or Fort Worth...mainly because I live there :)

I;m all for worlds being in Seattle. I may not make it in score wise, but I'd LOVE a chance to participate in the grinders for once.

i want NYC, cuz it seems that right now, the best players live in the northeast, so it is easier fro them to get to it (and it's a great place.) philly would be great too, i love going there (well, i'm in philly right now XD). i would say hawaii though, cuz it was orlando, sanfran, hawaii, and some other california city, orlando, sanfran, so hawaii is the most realistic, though with the problems with north korea, and the west coast, especially hawaii are in bombing distance, it's not that realistic.

The rotation so far has been Orlando 2004, San Diego 2005, Anaheim 2006, Hawaii 2007, Orlando 2008, San Diego 2009. So, although a "pattern" has never been announced by TPCi, there has been a "rotation" in that San Diego has now followed Orlando twice. Does that automatically mean it will be in Anaheim in 2010? I dunno. It wouldn't stun me, but it wouldnt surprise me either if it goes to another vacation hotspot. Likewise, I know Hawaii was expensive and maybe they wont go back there, but that does open up a slot to go to a "new" place also. Who knows?? Only OP brass and the Shadow knows! (old radio show reference)

No parents that I know would want their kids to go to Las Vegas for Worlds. It's been too much trouble a while ago for any parents to want their kids there. And most parents would not want their kids gambling. Worlds will not be held in Vegas unless something drastically changes.

You're telling me an 8/9 year old will run off (From a Pokemon event) to gamble...

I would love to see it in Vancouver, but chances are it'll be in the U.S, somewhere that's a vacation spot.
