Worlds Or Gencon??? Where You Going August 19-22??

well i already won a free trip so why would i pass it up to go and spend alot of money at GenCon...i think its obvious im goin to Worlds.
 
I'll be joining you TheDarkTwins at GenCon. My son will be competing in the LOTR World Championship, so I couldn't go to Pokemon Worlds even though I was one of a few PTOs/Judges you could've been selected to help judge Worlds.
 
Neither.

Though I was invited to judge at Worlds, I had to decline :( as we're celebrating my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary that weekend.

9.00 and 13.30 Modified Constructed $ 5.00 a player
1st 20 boosters
2nd 10 boosters
3-4th 6 boosters
5-8th 3 boosters

10.00 and 15.30 Unlimited Constructed $ 5.00 a player
Same prizestructure as Modified.

All 5 rounds of 30 minutes, max players 64, finals top 8

Sunday
Red/Green prerelease
9.00, $20 a player.
Sealed Deck (up to 192 players)
or Theme Deck Challenge (up to 64 players)
Don't know the prizes.

Unquestionably Worlds. Could there possibly be any doubt?

Regarding GENCON, I went last year and loved it. I really don't understand why they scheduled it after school starts back.

These are just the scheduled side events. We're bringing a TON of product for FREE non-scheduled (most likely non-sanctioned) constructed side events. In addition, we'll also be running the mini-League at Worlds. It'll be a little different than Origins but you'll still be able to earn a truly silly amount of foils and promos.

Is there going to be free tourneys at gencon too???

I don't know. Mike Guptil is running tournaments at GenCon, not PUI. You'll have to ask him.

I am going to Gencon... Because I Go to gencon every year... and I book my trip before worlds was annouced and then it happened to fall on the same weekend...
