maybe there is no need to give a location since it won't be moved?it's gonna be soooo funny if i worlds will be in hawaii again.but it will need a new name then lol.

I don't think they will have it in the Upper-MID US, because nationals is in Indiana.
Vancouver? The only thing I heard about Canada is they are going to have VGC Nats there. If it's out of country but I can get to it I need to get my passport updated.

a 3 year cycle which was discussed would be best
year 1 USA
year 2 Europe
year 3 Japan
But that is 99 percent impossible

Have you guys ever been to Texas? It's the worst state ever to travel to by far. I wouldn't mind Vancouver. Haven't been to the hooters there and need their shot glass for my collection :D

Because the majority of players who go to worlds (Eveyone but 10...) don't know japanese, I find it hard to think they would ever hold Worlds there.
I could maybe see a european country hosting it, but I have a feeling its going to be somewhere in the United States.

There are quite a few places in Texas that would be awesome to have Worlds in.

Dallas/San Antonio/Austin/Houston are all great places with a lot to do.

However, its HOT.
Construction is in a lot of places.
and its HOT.

Everyone not from the region would be complaining non stop.

I am hoping for Florida or New York if it won't be in Cali.

JAA in NYC was tooo fun!

Well, if you think about it, the US is one of the best spots they could pick as far as location value goes. The western area of the country is right between Europe and Japan (don't forget how big the pacific ocean is), and nice and close to the Americans. English is also a widely spoken language, so lingual problems don't arise as they would if it was held in Japan or many European countries, so it seems to be a perfect solution. If it was held in Japan, I can guarantee players would be complaining about having to pay to go all the way over there, which for the record is MUCH farther than Hawaii. Europe could work but the base of the competitive player base is in the US and Japan is across the world from them, so while the prospect is a pleasant idea, it doesn't seem viable. Worlds is held for the players, so it seems the first reaction ought to be gratitude. How much do think it would cost to rent out a place, hire all the guys who set up all the decorations and organize all the stuff players are going to be using, and tear the whole thing down? A darn lot I'd imagine. So don't be disappointed if its in California again, any location for worlds would be great.

I went to Austin for wowtcg worlds in 2009 and it was terrible, attendance abismal, and attractions bad. Went to Houston for a dmf or to size a very large regionals and attendance was very low and not much to see except rip off cab drivers. San Antonio for regionals was also terrible. The only reason I went there several times was the people and to win. The locations themselves were very poor.

But u have to remember wowing isn't as big as Pokemon. I have gone to a number of Texas tournaments and they have all been in nice place. (maybe not the ritz, but the place is good and clean.) plus people complain its hot when it only really gets hot for 2-3 weeks at a time. And August in Texas is a very normal temperature. But if u want good cab drivers that's kinda hard to find (not NYC) so might just wanna rent a car. So what I'm saying is that Texas would be a fine place to go to. And is not as bad as people would think.

Wasn't Yugioh Nats and Words both in Texas one year? But I am also hearing rumors of a NON US Worlds for 2013.

They should just have San Diego routine. It works perfectly ya know. Seriously, it feels SO good knowing that I live 10 minutes from the Hilton Hotel

Nah, I'd rather have it in Damascas tbh.

EDIT: Seriously it should be in Europe for a change, Algarve, Costa del Sol, Amsterdam or London would all be ideal areas.
