I can confirm the existence of the HGSS base sampling pack, it has the 3 Johto starters on the cover:

Dunno if an English version was released, but it´s very likely.

@Darkrai* I confirmed the existed of Sampling Packs of the Platinum Series ._. LOL too bad I only collect English Sampling Packs ;D So Right now I just need the Call of Legends and the Unleashed and the Triumphant
