The packs there are extemely overpriced. I can get them for $2.50 at my card shop.
 
Keep in mind where you live plays a big part inn how much you'll pay, most of you are probably Americans, but Canadians have to pay quite a bit more, about 5$ for single packs at walmart, and 5.50$ for the newest pack at 3 of my local Comic/ Card stores, although 1of those places sell tins for only 16$ so I plan to pick 1 up later *Everywhere else they are 20$+*
And this wasn't really a hate reply, just stating that some people HAVE to pay more for packs, depending on where they live, etc, if you can buy packs for under 3.50 thats great!... just don't rub it in and tell the ohers they are getting ripped off when they most likely have little alternatives.

In those 16 packs I pulled a Charizard G Lv X, Electivire FB Lv X, Garchomp C Lv X, Articuno SR, 2x Moltres SR and a Yanma SH. I was blown away as normally buying individually packaged boosters sucks. The best packs were the Charizard packs as they netted me 1 Lv X, 2 SR and 1 Shiny. Hope everyone else does well,

Wow. I hope you have fun with those:thumb:. I have never bought packs from Walmart because one time I bought 5 Diamond and Pearl packs and got NO rare holos, bad rares, and 5 Bidoofs and so I haven't bought packs at Walmart since. And at a Worlds Prerelease 3 out of 5 people got Rayquaza C Lv. X, another person got a Shiny Milotic, and the fifth person got 2 Absol G Lv. Xs and Blaziken FB Lv. X in 6 packs! Neither of us could believe it. All I got was a Zapdos SR, but I guess that's OK.

When I won States, my Platinum Box had 2 Lv. Xs, and one was on the left side and one was on the right. I also got 2 secret rares, one on the left and one on the right. I have heard a lot of stuff about where in the box the Lv. Xs are, but I don't think any of it is true. Some people just get boxes with stuff on the right, and some people get stuff with some on the left.

He's right- that is a ridiculously low price, even for a comic shop. The ones I've been to are often MORE expensive than places like Target, Walmart, etc. Where are you from? How does that shop make any money off of boosters?

I'm from SoCal. And the shop has been open for over 10 years so they must be doing something right.

They also sell starter decks for $7 and tins for $10. But I think that I'm getting off topic so I'll stop.
 
For a short period, GameStop by my house was selling boosters for $1.99.

I cleared them out. All they had was MT though. : /

I'm from SoCal too and I can confirm this. They sell almost all DP-onward packs for $2.50 and boxes for $75. You also get discounts if you buy packs in bulk.
 
My girlfriend happened to buy an absol pack from walmart yesterday, rayquayza C lvX.

I got a secret rare moltres the other day from either the pop raichu promo pack or the dialga poster box, I can't remember (also from walmart)

2 days ago, I decided to take a trip to Target. I bought 2 SV packs, and I pulled an Absol G LV X. Also, all of my reverse holos were rares too, so I was pretty happy about that!
