Well this is it folks.

I have had the greatest of pleasure in working with all of you. That is the truth.

I don't know half of you as well as I should of, and some of you more then I would like to have. [Big Grin]

It has been the experience of a lifetime. I would not trade one minute of it away... [Evil Smirk]

To all of you that were at any of our Events my thanks for your support and commitment to the game.

To all the Professor's and Master Prof's:
Thank you for keeping it all running. You are the backbone of the game.

To the League members and all the people who ran the League:
You are the heart and soul of this game. You can be proud that you were there when we started something new and that you t worked so hard to achieve it.

To TC and the Mods:
Thank you for all your devotion and hard work. You kept this place going and the rules in one piece. We could never have done it without you.

To the Players:
I have seen many of you mature through the last 4 years. You have learned a lot about TCG's and tournaments. I never cease to be impressed by your ability to keep up to formats and new ideas. The game was never meant for the scrutiny it had to receive do to your enthusiasm for it. Thanks for taking a ride with us on the "rulings nightmare" train as it shifted through the Twilight Zone. It made for some very interesting discussions I wish you all could have heard it all!

To the Parents:
I don’t need to tell you how important it is to support your kids and their passions. Thanks for your willingness to put up with it all. To those of you who played with your kids an extra big thanks!

I will not say goodbye. One never knows when we will meet again. Another game or Convention perhaps?

I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite books.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Take care all of you. I hope all your roads lead you down interesting paths.

I think the great philosopher, Freakazoid, summed this up here: http://home.cfl.rr.com/kpoj/meetagain.ram

Mike, you and the rest of the Wizards of the Coast team have done an amazing job with the game. You've gone above and beyond what most others would see as 'another fad', for instance something that did not have to top eight rochester finals that ended around 3:00am. Thank you for the memories.

I think I'm gonna cry.... [Frown]

Thank you, Mike...I'm just sorry we weren't able to say this in person, since I wasn't at GenCon and you weren't at SDCC...

Yeah, this is a cross-post in a way, but...This song sort of expresses my feelings right now: "Seasons of Love", from Rent, by Jonathan Larson...

Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty five thousand moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes.
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee?
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife?
In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes.
How do you measure a year in the life?
How about love, how about love, how about love?
Measure in love.
Seasons of love, seasons of love.

Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty five thousand journeys to plan.
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes,
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?
In truth that she learned or in times that he cried,
In bridges he burned or the way that she died?
It’s time now to sing out, though the story never ends
Let’s celebrate, remember a year in the life of friends.
Remember the love, remember the love, remember the love.
Measure in love.
Seasons of love, seasons of love.

It's been an honor and privilege working with you here on the 'Gym and WizO'ing the chat...and at SDCC, Worlds, the WCSC, and WCSTS. Some of the best (..and a few of the worst [Frown] ) times of my life have been spent here these past two-and-a-half years...but all in all, it's been fun... [cloud9]

May the Light of Amida's Infinite Wisdom and Compassion shine upon you [Smile] ; hope to see you once in a while over on the next incarnation of the 'Gym...

Hugs,
'mom

Draft at DMTM house, tonight.
[ROFL] Oops, down dogs.

Mike,

What can I say? You and the others at WotC are the best. Without you guys, it will not be the same. You have taught us a lot about TCG environment, showed us a great time, and have been a wonderful host to all of us over the years. One of the most memorial times for me was watching you at the ECSTS 2001 holding drafts with younger players after the main event, in the lobby of the hotel. You were like "Santa" to these kids, a sight to behold.

I'm sure as "we" continue our journey with TCGs, "our" paths will cross again. We will tell stories of the old times as well as current times while playing a few games of ........

So, you are right, it not saying goodbye, it is more like "When will I see you again?" Is that MTM singing? [Roll Eyes]

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

~Robert Frost

Will do, my Dark Master, to the best of my ability.

Still wary about the Nintendo game. It's definitely different. It's just not going to be the same without you guys. There's just something about all you MT's, y'know?

Maybe we'll see you at a future Event? [Smile]

Well... M'not too good at long goodbyes, so... Well, who said it was a goodbye? More like a passing, hmm?

A fantastic "final post", DMTM.

You have truly been a great person for this game, and I have never before seen, and I doubt I ever again will see, anyone else which has the same dedication to his work and love to his costumers that you do.

You have indeed been a "santa" for the kids, and a celebrity in the entire community. And a very respected one. You could be joking and fooling around a lot (just read the old chat logs, guys, he and the other MTs could be crazy [Wink] ) but when you were serious about something, the community listened. And all of us did.

Even though I'm just a random teenager from a crazy old fish-exporting wiking nation high up in the north, I somehow managed to meet you and the other MTs in person several times. All the 3 times I was in the USA, I had the pleasure of meeting you guys.

I don't know if you still remember (you probably didn't know that was me), but if it wasn't for you, I could have been awarded a match loss at the ECSTS 2000 with my Japanese Rocket's Zapdos. But I think you know what I mean when I say that without you, I wouldn't been able to still play this game today.

I know you MTs have suffered a lot of critism, mainly because people didn't quite have the brains understand that you and the other MTs weren't the only people at Wizards, and indeed weren't the ones making all the decisions. But remember this on your future jobs: you really had a great amount of fans among us Pokémon-people. And that was because you really did a great job. One won't find anyone else with the same ability to interact with his costumers.

It's been 4 great years, DMTM. Many of us will continue to follow the Pokémon road, but I'm sure that you will do a great job on your road, other Wizards games.

Oh, and say "bye" to Gengar from me.

Never say goodbye,
Never say goodbye.
You and me and my old friends
Hoping it would never end.
Say goodbye,
Never say goodbye.
Holding on we've got a child.
Holding on to never say goodbye.

"Never Say Goodbye" by, Bon Jovi

It's been a long road
Getting from there to here.
It's been a long time,
But my time is finally here.
And I can feel the change in the wind right now.
Nothing´s in my way.
And they´re not gonna hold me down no more,
No they´re not gonna hold me down,
Cause I´ve got faith of the heart.
I´m going where my heart will take me.
I´ve got faith to believe.
I can do anything.
I´ve got strength of the soul
And no one´s gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star.
I´ve got faith, I´ve got faith,
Faith of the heart.

"Faith of the Heart" from Star Trek: Enterprise

I could go on forever.

But I'll just leave saying thank you for everthing and I bid thee adieu.

All of these inspirational song lyrics have inspired me to post a few of my own... starting with the ones from the song I nomiated to represent my graduating class, as we ourselves graduate from the Pokemon University at WizPOG to enroll at the Pokemon Academy at PUSA.

Dun... dun... dun........ DA-DUN!!!!

Whoops, sorry, forgot that the theme from "2001: A Space Oddysey" didn't really have lyrics.

Let's try something else...

Growing in numbers
Growing in speed
Can't fight the future
Can't fight what I see

People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cos we are all made of stars

Efforts of lovers
Left in my mind
I sing in the reaches
We'll see what we find

People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cos we are all made of stars
People they come together
And people they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cos we are all made of stars

Slow so slow come come
Someone come come come
Even love is a goin' 'round
Bad noise goin' round

Slowly rebuilding
I feel it in me
Growing in numbers
Growing in peace

People they come together
And people they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cos we are all made of stars
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cos we are all made of stars

~ "We Are All Made of Stars", Moby

DMTM, MTM, Pat, and all you other guys I've never really met or talked to but still respect as leaders of a generation of incredible people, thank you and God bless. We WILL meet again.

Thanks for all you've done DMTM.
Although I never got to meet you guys in person, I know you're all great people from my experience on the boards, chats, other people, etc.
I always loved you fun and intriguing "Modest Proposals." And who didn't? (Besides the few who got frustrated [Big Grin] ) Jonathan Swift would jealous!

So, I'm sure there'll be opportunities to meet in the future, and until our paths cross, many happy times and good memories to all. Here's to the big move!

Mike,it was a blast to work with you at the Challenges,STS`s,World`s, and `cons not to mention the fun at the chats, the MBI`s,and all the side stuff we did and I`ll definately miss the last 5 years and cherish those memories. It was great and I hope to see you at future events.

Remember,it takes a team to make things happen and if it wasn`t for you and Mike as well,we never would have had the last 5 years of great memories and Pokemon fun.Thanx for all you did for me,TC,the community and the game.We will always remember you.

My quote for all comes from Gandalf speaking to Frodo when Frodo is wishing he didn`t live to see the bad times.I feel it`s appropriate in that we don`t want to see these WotC times end but to know that what we do now will make us survive the transition and victory(the continuance of the game) will come:

Well, big guy, I gotta say it's been quite a Pokemon Adventure you and MTM and MT Pat and the rest of y'all have led us on these past 4 years! Corporate WOTC couldn't have imagined (or hired) a better Pokemon "face" to the public.

Perhaps we'll meet once again in the exciting NeoPet arena, eh wot? Or perhaps there's a Dueling Masters battle a-brewin' ... in any case, so long and thanks for all the fish!

It has indeed been a great run and I've loved my time here on the boards. You MT's have been bastions of patience and commitment. [bow]

I hope I haven't been too much of a thorn in your side with my constant rules nagging and ridiculous situation stretching. Yeah, I know you probably won't get Meganium and Charizard in play with the Charizard being Painted to Grass, but at the time it seemed important. [teach]

Probably the only thing I regretted was not being able to fight MTM a second time. The only time I fought him, was during the 2001 ECSTS Qualifer in Seattle on my 18th Birthday. It was a despreate fight for then I was say a little inexperienced then and I think I only won because of not falling for his Chaos Gym card. I barely survived, and I justed wished I could do better against him today.

Otherwise, my time with MTM, DMTM, MTP, and the rest of the WotC staff have been 125% fun. I enjoyed every minute of the chats, Worlds and the last Origins. I will never forget those wonderful days. However my time with them may not be done, I hope to continue on with the other WotC games coming and hope the future to be bright with all of us.

Pokemon Training done, heck no. I want to continue to be the best. It gives me determination and a reason to live happy.

Anyway, thanks for everything, DMTM, we'll never forget the sacrifices you made to help ensure the survival of this great game.

I do have one last question though, if ditto is opposite a brock's ninetales with regular ninetales... never mind.

Thank you WOTC for a wonderful pokemon journey.
