Play! Pokémon Q1 2024 rules updates

The Play! Pokémon Rules & Resources page has been updated, with revised versions of the Tournament Rules Handbook, League Handbook, and Standards of Conduct. While Pokémon players and Professors should read through these documents to ensure a complete understanding of the rules, there are a few changes we would like to highlight:

Tournament Rules Handbook

CLARIFICATION: Headphone rule clarified to apply to VGC, GO, and UNITE, and an exception to the headset prohibition was added for UNITE

CLARIFICATION: Section 2.5.5 added to remind Tournament Organizers that they are responsible for ensuring that players and staff are not ineligible to participate

ADDED: Account sharing, GPS manipulation, and multi-accounting are now listed as means for a Severe: Disqualification penalty due to Cheating

League Handbook

CLARIFICATION: League reporting codified to start on the 8th of a month and end on the 7th of the following month

CHANGE: Leagues now become inactive when no attendance reports are submitted (previously was when no play times are scheduled)

ADDED: Embargo information for sale of promo materials added, permitting the sale of materials after a certain period

CLARIFICATION: Information on Pokémon GO League Challenges and League Cups added/corrected to align with other documents

Standards of Conduct

CHANGE: Appealing disciplinary action is no longer limited to the first 14 days after receipt of the Notice of Disciplinary Action
