Miami is still the only perfect team in NFL history! NY Giants Win SB LXII

No one will remember the Pats in 2 yrs. Can anyone tell me who lost the SB 2 yrs ago? (w/o thinking more than a minute?) You gotta finish the job to go down in history.

when you go undefeated and lose your last game in the super bowl thats history. No one remembers who lost in the ALCS in baseball last season but we all remember the yankees giving up their 3-0 lead. This would be remembered as one of the biggest upsets ever.

GIANTS GIANTS GIANT GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are the best team in the world :cool:

Great game-no one led by more than 4 points at any time. The advertisers certainly got their money's worth! :wink:

Personally I don't even think the '72 Dolphins deserve the attention they get. They got very lucky down the stretch and in the playoffs in order to complete that perfect season. I wouldn't even put them in the top 10 teams all-time.

Same with these Patriots. They had a cupcake schedule to get to 8-0, and just had things fall their way in the second half of the season. The Giants obviously had them figured out in Week 17, and they got the job done on the second try. Like those storied Dolphins, they pale in comparison to the Packers of the 60's, the Steel Curtain of the 70's, the 49ers and Cowboys through the 80's and 90's, and even the early days of this Patriots "dynasty".

I had no real favorite, but I was kind of rooting for the Pats cuz my friend was lol. Great game. I was worried that it would get to the 2nd quarter and it would be certain who would win. I'm glad I wasen't dissapointed. Congratulations to the Mannings, and of course, PLAX. What a catch, PLAX!

The Dolphins deserve the attention they get bc they are the ONLY team in NFL history to finish the job! BTW, back then, best record didnt get you home field adv. in the playoffs. The Fins had to go on the road to win the AFC championship. That wont ever happen again. Likewise, their starting QB (Griese.....HOF) broke his leg in week 5 and Earl Morrell came off the bench to lead them the rest of the way to the playoffs until Griese returned in the playoffs.

IF the other teams were sooooo great, why didnt they go unbeaten? (Dont say tougher schedules bc the NFL determines the schedules from the season before and your finish in that season) You can only play and beat who the NFL lines up in front of you.

Bob Kuechenberg (C) should have made the HOF this year, along w/ Ray Guy, the best punter ever (Raiders....same era)

I RAN INTO THE STREETS SCREAMING!!!! Not to mention I did this at a superbowl party and in NEW ENGLAND! :cool: GO GIANTS
Manning 07
Manning 08
SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!
Eli = a true hero!

It was so nice to see the Giants give the Patriots the beating they deserved. I was getting so sick of all the bandwagoning that was going on with the Patriots. Fans were suddenly sprouting up just because they were doing well. I hate fans like that.
