SKarmbliss knows a guy on Facebook whose having a tourny april 1st I think and he was trying to get people into it, but I don't have a Facebook and my parents probably wouldn't want me to get one. I guess someone should organize a Pokegym tournament....NOT RIGHT AFTER THE RELEASE OF COURSE.
 
I want to see a pokegym tourney take place for smash.

but most people will go to gamebattles.com for the ladder they got.
 
Well we need someone smart, brilliant, mature, and good with a Wii to be able to host the tournament calm and collectedly. I nominate.......the rox bros. Yes, Meditite and Charmander rox will host the tournament. I'm SURE since there are 2 OF THEM that theres NO WAY the tournament could FAIL. Now, if you want a more intelligent nomination, I really think Bullet would do a good job, but thats just my opinion.

my idea of running competitive tournaments like smash would be running a bunch of tournaments within a season which might last 6 months. Winners of all tournaments meet up in the end of the season for one large tournament, thats just my way of thinking and probably wouldnt even consider running such a system here on pokegym simply because its more about Pokemon then it is Smash.

So it would be sticking to small casual tournaments. I say whoever wants to step up and make us a pokegym tournament or ladder, let them do it.
 
It was tried for Pokemon DP, it didn't happen. People cannot commit themselves enough to play at arranged times and within the specificied time frame. I'd love to see one too, but it won't ever happen, Pokegym is not big enough in the EG area.
 
Too bad we can't just hold something as a side event at nats or something. Nintendo does own the Wii and Smash after all.
 
wish Nintendo would setup an online ladder or tournament system themselves. Not these joke of a tournament they have at gamestop on release or the ones where it just wipes out 80% of the country from competing in it.

Well then how come there are still pokemon D/P DS tournaments now and then? I'm not there needs to be one right after release. I'd prefer that there wasen't one. And also, I'm not saying there has to be one that won't take a couple of days or weeks.

Those are JOKES, did you read my post? People cannot commit to play when they schedule a game, OR in the given timeframe. this is the Pokegym trend, and it wont change for Smash. Out of the, what? 20 tournaments held here of Pokemon DP, I'm sure not even 4 were completed. One tournament I got BYES until the semifinal, because my opponents simply didn't show up.
 
Can anyone link to the control layout of the classic and gamecube controllers? I searched on the main smashbros site but couldn't find it.

I plan on bringing a gamecube controller with me to gamestop on sunday, anyone else doing the same? I just can't stand the way the wii mote is laid out.
