Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Char-line Secret Rares Confirmed!

wow, the collector in me cringes a little at the prospect of 5 lv x's, three shinies, and three secret rares.

in the past, what was the distribution of secret rares in boxes? is it the same probability as pulling a regular rare?

thanks

I'm worried too (as I need to get 3 sets before I can even use any Xs. :/). However, I believe that shinies are just cards with no non-A.H. print and the secret rares will be equivialent of rares (at least when looking at previous S.R.s)

Eh, not that they're unplayable, but now they have no future outside of being a collector's item since they're so rare.

Why doesn't anybody else see how awful this is for the player? When you buy a box, won't you be just a little annoyed that you got a shining Pokemon and a Charmander instead of that Raichu and Dusknoir X you were hoping for?

First I was like "Phew! At least now I don't gotta buy Heatran till next set..." Now I'm actually gonna have to get a tin or two...

Charizard+Heatran FTW!

Charizard+Heatran FTW!

more like Charizard+Heatran=FTL your water weakness is sick but more power to you

I'm happy to see these cards in the set it's just another thing to extort collectors for

I also wonder if this means in the following set they will release the base set Hitmonchan, base set Electabuzz, and jungle Scyther.

who want to make a prediction list for the set after Galactic's Conquest?

My predictions are:
Jungle - Wigglytuff
Jungle - Mr. Mime
Fossil - Aerodactyl

I'm not sure about this yet but if the shinies are reverse foils couldn't that mean that they won't turn up in the slot of a rare card but in the slot of a reverse foil instead? although if charmander charmeleon and charizard are as rare as TSD and do take up the slot of a Lv. X I would he horrified when I bought a box.

will the shinies really take the draw spot of lv x's in a box, or is that just a theory? it seems that the charmander line might. i will not jump to terrible conclusions out of fear, but, truthfully, if i bought a box and i just drew zero lv x's: i would be most frustrated.

Fossil - Aerodactyl

WIgglytuff.... perhaps, although outclassed by Lucario. Mr. Mime would re-break the game, and Aerodactyl would require Mysterious Fossil to be reprinted.

My expectation is that Charmeleon will not be in this set but will be a secret rare in the upcoming set. And Charizard in the set after that one.

Why would you think that? They came out in the same set in Japan, as secret rares, in place of Lv X's in a box. Why wouldn't PUI do the same? There's no precedence for this.

Imagine buying an LA box and not pulling a single lv X, Kingdra, or Luxray. It happened to me.

Saying Charizard sucks with turning all to fire makes for a great tech, especially in decks with Heatran X,we even tried it in a Magnezone deck and we were doin a 100 a turn and could move the enegry anywhere we felt if we didnt need it active anymore.

Then Typholosion is around still,Leafeon X,Stark,Energy Link is being released. Yea,some people will make this viable.
