Roserade Lock! What is it?

Roserade lock is an sd kinda, a small group of players across the us found out about it over in JPN and somehow managed to get a list.

How do I know this? I have a list ;)

Probably Roserade UL with Roserade GL and Garchomp C (and something to switch energies).
Would really make sence and seems to work nice^^
If not I've put a cool Rogue into the world now xD

OMG UR SO KEWL.

@ everyone else in the thread:

It's probably dealing with Roserade GL, possibly a luring pokemon like blaziken fb or lux gl lv x, and if they run sp, then chances are it has Garchomp C in it. Then again, I don't know, just assuming. Probably not thinking outside the box enough.

Guys, if it's so secretive that you make a thread and no one tells you right away, no one is going to tell you at all.

The S in SD stands for secret.

I googled it, I found some articles talking about using Roserade Gl in sp builds to lock starters, but that isn't really a secret, I've known that for a while

Edit: Also, Japan is on HgSs format which leaves only 1 roserade in their format. lol, took me a while to figure that out

I looked it up and found nothing.

Japan is only going to HGSS-on when the first B&W set is released. This deck is from before that.

Have a good think about the legal Roserades.

Think about how you could lock an opponent with them.

Think about what cards you could use to make it difficult for them to break that lock.

Then you can have a decent go at building the deck.

I have no information about any secret deck, but this occurred to me as interesting.

3-3 Roserade UL
2-2-2 Vileplume
4 Roserade GL
Shaymin UL (Celebration wind)

4 Seekers
3 BTS

Attach grass to Roserade UL for confusion
Attack with Roserade GL for Poison and no retreating
Vileplume for no Warp Point or Poketurns

So he's confused every turn and poisoned. Unless he's energy blowed for the KO. Seems kind of interesting, but Roserade is up there with 90 HP at the end of all this.

Seekers to pick up Roserade UL, BTS to put it back down, Shaymin to move energy off the benched Roserade UL.

Just a thought. Maybe someone can build a reasonable list.

Continue by throwing in Luxray GL to drag something harmless up or Infernape 4 to shuffle their Pokemon around and Crobats to make sure that it's KO'd on their turn, not yours.

wait why would you want it ko'ed on their turn? if it is ko'ed on their turn they can promote a new active and start swinging with it. or am i misunderstanding

Ko on their turn going into yours is what I saw it as.

Yeah. That way they are either stuck pushing up something good that you then gust to the bench, or pushing up something you can lock and letting you lock it.

The big weakness I see with it is its inability to use Power Spray...

Luxray occurred to me, but with the Vileplume lock in, it didn't seem as useful. If you don't run Vileplume, he can warp out of the lock. Still, another version might run Luxray 1-1 and 4 Poketurns instead of 2-2-2 Vileplume. Maybe also Gains and a Cyrus draw engine.

That's why I suggested Infernape 4, since Infernape doesn't need continuous maintenance to work (you can just Roar from the bench).

i might run this for one cities, Probably the last one cause' i'm gonna need a while to test it.
BTW: It's no longer an SD.
