Techrom, from what I've tested, sets up as fast as RamBoar.

Also, where the freak is Shuckle?

Techrom? What on earth is "techrom?" In any case, no one's hyping "RamBoar" (as it's apparently been dubbed) as a deck that's good because it's fast, although it is plenty fast. It's a deck that's good because once it gets setup, it's essentially unstoppable, dealing 120 damage a turn with an attacker that's a Basic Pokémon with 130 HP.

Now, Zekrom is also a Basic Pokémon with 130 HP. However, it's effectively a Basic Pokémon with 90 HP. I'm expecting Zekrom to hit about $8 in the next couple months and Reshiram to hit about $20... because Reshiram is good and Zekrom isn't. While, at face value, Zekrom and Reshiram seem fairly similar, they're not. Not by a long shot.

• Unless you want to run Magnezone Prime, which seems stupid, Zekrom has no draw support comparable to Reshiram's Ninetales.
• Zekrom's recoil from its "big" attack actually hurts; there's no way to recover from it before the opponent's turn. Reshiram, on the other hand, has obvious recovery: Emboar. If you maintain a stream of Energy Retrieval/Fisherman, you're basically doing 120 per turn with no downside while Zekrom just keeps taking more and more damage.
• How are you attaching energies to Zekrom again? Oh, right... Shaymin and Pachirisu. TROLOLOLOL. Yeah, because you're going to start with a Collector and three energies. And then next turn, with no draw support set up, you're going to draw the resources needed to set up another Zekrom to replace the one that's going to get KO'd T3.

Also, Shuckle is just bad. End of story.

Pollitoed666 - Zekrom and Reshiram are both in tins. I HIGHLY doubt either of them will go for more than $10.

One, it's Tech Zekrom. IDK how complicated that could be...

If you run enough Dual Balls, and a high count of Lightning (and obviously a Collector count of 4), it's not AS hard to hit that much.

More damage can be fueled by Outrage, and I run 3 Plus Power, 3 Junk Arm, and a Torkoal (OK, yeah, it's a lulzy card.)

If you run a consistent Zekrom, getting enough resources isn't as hard as it looks. I play a more teched Zekrom as is, but I've tried consistent and it is fast...

Shuckle is superior to binetails in so many different ways.. Shaymin unown return say seeker and the fact that's it's a basic is just amazing. You can draw through basicially your whole deck I'd you wanted to. And no worries about all the energies being on shuckle because you have shaymin. Throw in a few techs for water types (incredibly easy) and you have an amazing deck. It literally hits 120 a turn 6 turns straight. And even if you kill it, rescue energy or revive and then the new energy retreval thing ad your hitting 120 again. The only issue I've had is thy it never gets good starts. But this format is slow enough that after t2-3 you should have draw into what u need with shuckle.

You run Shaymin in Reshiram?

I look forward to facing you in many tournaments next year. xD

The player who gets good starts usually wins right? At least thats whats supposed ro happen I guess. I know with my Resh/boar deck, I usually get good starts. That spells trouble for my opponent though. I haven't tried shuckle yet though....... Hmmmm I wonder why?

Emboar is the bdif right now imo. But there are solutions. It has a hard time against lostgar, for example. This is especially true if lists become too techy worrying about water matchups or what have you. If they don't choose to tech, feraligatr varients like gatr blastoise would have a pretty easy time with it. Also, I would imagine that zoroark tech could give it some problems.

Against HGSS-on variants, maxing Junk Arm really hammers LostGar's chances of winning.

Why run Energy Search when you can just run another fire energy instead? The odds of you drawing it would be the same, and a fire would do you more good end game. Plus it doesn't get trainer locked, should you run into it.

Only reason I can see to run it would be for Junk Arm, but by the time you get energy search in the discard there should be a few fires in there... so you can just Junk Arm for an Energy Retrieval to grab energy instead (could alternatively drop search for retrieval).

Never been a fan of energy search lol ;/

^^^Ooh, ouch!! Yeah, trying out shaymyn/shuckle could proove useful. Either way, neither sounds like a solid choice right now, so ummm....., yeah.
