But they don't take 2 prizes in one turn.
You can hit 150 with magnezone, and I don't think a 100 snipe is worth wasting a legend that could get KO'ed giving your opponent two prizes.

Not when you could be taking two prize cards in one turn.
100 snipe is really good, but not in this situation.
RDL=Two prize cards for you
100 snipe=One prize card for you

It takes one prize but hinders them from setting up a magnezone or emboar. I'm not saying MagneGatr is better than MagneBoar, I haven't said it once in this thread. All I'm saying is in my opinion MagneGatr is very close to MagneBoar closer than people think. It also has better match-ups against Donphan and Reshiboar/Reshipholsion.

It's like Amt said. Zone/Gatr is a good deck, but Zone/Boar is just that bit better.

And if you can get any kind of advantage by running one deck over the other . . . it would be silly not to.

How does it hinder them from setting that up?
Unless you foucus on getting out the Legend at the beggining of the game, sacficing two prizes consistacy late game, then by the time the legend hits the field magnezone and emboar will have been evolved.
Also... It might have a better donphan matchup, but will lose the strength otherwise of being able to run RDL.
JMHO

Yes this is true, but I think it the advantage is negated by Zone/Gatr's better match-ups vs two of the speculated top decks next format. Yes there is RDL or attack Emboar, but theres no telling if a good DonChamp player will tech a buffolant or zoarak. Plus RDL could be tough to bring out because of it being a legend and attack Emboar is a stage 2. There is a good basic water pokemon almomola who has a 100 hp and does 40+ 10 for every water energy attached to it or Lanturn prime who also does 40 +10 for every energy attached to all your pokemon.

Machamp OHKO's both those while you need 11 energy to return the KO

RDL ain't too hard to get with magnezone's consistancy

You don't need almomola or lanturn prime to ohko machamp prime because magnezone can do that because machamp isn't resistant to lighting.

The point I failed to make was that after you use it on one donphan they will get OHKO'ed, and the other player will continue to hit you for your weakness.
You might get 1 KO on donphan, but after that...

In my opinion the best starter for Cinccino is Pichu. Lets you grab as many basics as you can.

Whos naive? You are actually letting your opponent set up with that theory of using Pichu. I will happily get out all my important starters to my deck if you use Pichu!!

If you don't already. Obviously I wouldn't use pichu if you don't almost have a full bench.

Wait I just remembered that raindance only attaches to water pokemon.
fail by me.
Considering that and the RDL thingy, I think a type advantage against donphan evens it out.

Wait...
that also means no shuckle..
:(

How do you figure? This would be true if they have a machamp already set up.

I'd think the point of playing Pichu is to use it the first turn of the game so you can get out all of your basics. By doing that, though, you allow your opponent to set up their field AND be a turn ahead of you.

Obviously I wouldn't use pichu if you don't almost have a full bench.

So you would use it... mid game?

Yeah but you said is was the best starter for Cincinno, otherwise why would you use it if you wanted to start with it?

Yes because it is considered a starter is it not just like cleffa? You can use it to stall with for a couple turns too with its ability. I wouldn't use it unless you had almost a full bench or i was able to set up quicker.

or after they collector.

Pluff never needed Pichu, so I don't know why Cinccino would. Especially considering a) Unlike Pluff Cinccino doesn't care about the opponent's bench size and b) Cinccino can now Collector/Dual Ball on T1.

I just thought it could be a good starter for both decks helping set up really fast but there is a downfall.

What do you guys think about MewGar, I think it will be one of the better decks.

It won't look like what you think it will look like. MewGar wins if it can go first AND starts with a Mew. So it needs lots of Basic searching and lots of Free Retreating. It'll probably run 4 Mime Jr with 4 Mew, and that's not exactly a winning combination. Plus, it loses to anything that can OHKO a Mew on turn 2 or earlier. I'm thinking it'll be Tier 2 at best.
