Mewgar is pretty slow, there are no more speedy evolutions or massive draw, face it LW strategies wont work, Poygon2 might be a good support, DCL requires too much energy to be of any help, Gengar can`t use any heavy attacks without the lv X and 4 damage counters is nothing that the powered up potion can`t handle. I still wonder why the lost zone hasn`t been printed in playmatts since platnium.

Talking about rogues, what about a Liepard+Scrafty+Unown deck? they hit pretty hard for very few energy, not to mention the realy annoying effects of their attacks, either Honchkrow or Mandibuzz can snipe for prizes, while donphan quakes it`s own teammates to death.

This is so not true. I have played against Mewgar with Donphan, and I won. The only reason the match was even close was that I got 6 tails out of 7 flips on reversal.

That being said I think that the tiers (exluding any rogues, as you can't rank what you don't know) will be

Tier 1:
Magneboar
Donphan varients
Mewgar

Tier 2:
Reshiboar (Or Reshiflosion)
Blastoise/Gator (or Floatsel)
Zekrom Varients (This is pushing it)

Tier 3:
Everything else

Personally, I think really speedy, consistent Cincinno/Zoroark decks will be Tier 2. Just sayin',

MewGar slow? Lol not really, all you need is either dual ball or pokemon collector and t1 see off to put gengar prime in the lost zone. Mewgar isn't focused on taking prizes or doing damage. revive lets your get pack mew prime. You don't even need gengar lines which makes the deck a lot faster.

I agree, these guys beat anything... as long as they dont face donphan of course, nothing that lanturn can`t solve anyway.

Simisear or Samurott can take the 6 prize cards in just 3 turns against them, unless mew stars the game, I find it quite difficult for it to win, the jirachi and shaymin combo might work if you have enough luck... but is luck after all.

I have no clue what your talkinga bout. MewGar is NOT slow. You max colelctors/dual balls and almsot always get a T1 See Off. MewGar takes skill to play aswell. You havent even touched this deck and you mare bashing it. ReshiBoar is slow as I have playtested against it. Relying on cleffa to set up is not good at all.

Ursaring counters zoroark, and exchanges prizes with cinccino. So therefore Zoroark and Cinccino cant beat "anything"

ReshiBoars run Ninetales for massive draw, wich hit with 60 damage... how hard is to pull 2 evolution cards and a rare candy on turn 2 for these guys? They can take down mew, and apply the RDL finisher even easier, since they are not playing any revenge threat.

Plus Power and Dark energy are everything Zorciino/Cinoark needs to beat the bears, also they are slow to charge energy unlike the fluffs.

Do you have actual results or jsut theorymon? Plus good MewGar lists run 4 defender agaisnt donphan variants. Its actually very ahrd. You dont get the Rare Candy when you need it and a smart ReshiBoar played will leave his hand empty of pokemon so the MewGar players either Spooky Whirlpools or Seekers it. If you dont its almsot an auto-loss. That massive Draw isnt beneficial to you either as if you draw into 2-3 pokemon there is no way of dropping them if you have a full bench (4 due to ditto) . Please before you bash a Tier 1 deck have actual results.

Is just the minimum needed... 2 evolved pokemon and once RDL is out, no matter how many defenders you play , they are gonna turn useless,

Junk Arm is still in format, energy retrieval is popular with Emboar decks... so is not as hard as you suggest, Juniper is quite popular too.

Smart Reshiboar players will leave 1 or 2 basics as seekers food, 1 Emboar and 1 Ninetales in order to kill anything else with either reshi or RDL, is not theory is a fact that these guys attack insanely fast.

Mew gets discarded with it`s energy attached, Jirachi recovers it with COIN FLIPS and shayimin moves them back to mew... to repeat the process you need to play an scoop up with a COIN FLIP and play a seeker, not having a chance to draw stuff... Mr mime needs to be in bench, same for ditto and you need to bring an aditional spiritomb if the oponents doesnt have pokemon in hand... is it just me or rare candy + prof elm turned out to be a more likely Scenario ?

You are completely clueless on how MewGar works. Emboar doesnt Always set up on T2. You have to be lucky to have a emboar/communication and a rare candy if usual reshiboar lists. MagneBoar is way more consistent than ReshiBoar. If a MewGar players Lost ZOnes 1 piece of RDL your 2 prize idea of winning is down the drain.

The same goes for mewgar, if we are talking about luck, gengar (both as i assume you play 2 for safety instead of 1) goes to prizes and you get another pokemon to start the match with * retreat cost instead of mew, defender shows up instead of switch... then what ?

Whats really favours LostGar varients this season compared to last is the fact that nearly every deck runs more pokémon making whirlpools more successful and quite often hit 2 pokémon. Good Mewgar lists pretty much destroy MagneBoar because so many crucial pokémon are getting lost zoned early on and you can use Jirachi to devolve rare candied Emboars and Magnezones. BTW, I have never heard of any player running defender in Mewgar, its only use it in a Donchamp or KindraBuzz matchup.

Actually, a lot of decks nowadays run about 16-ish Pokemon. MD-on there was more cuz of all the awesome techs.

Of course, that mainly applies for decks like Zekrom and Cinno.

MewGar usually runs a 2-1-3 Line of Gengar as you cant rely on Mew (agaisnt Donphan). Defender is for donphan other wise you get steam rolled.
