If they're gonna have Worlds in Canada I would have prefered it to have been Toronto.

Now the question is where in Vancouver.
The two Hiltons aren't exactly in attractive locations, IMO.
Wonder what the Worlds promo will look like. Not exactly tropical so it'll have to be drastically different.
While I still believe the East Coast is deserving of another major event, I like the choice of Vancouver. It's a great city. Not sure who this benefits (other than Canadians and POP/PUI/P!P shipping stuff and driving up from Seattle) but it's a great change of pace.
With that being said, the 2014 World Championships SHOULD be on the East Coast of the United States of America.

How about everybody from around the world who will be coming to visit one of the top 10 cities to live during the best time of the year to visit.
Combine it with a cheap Alaskan cruise and you have one great family vacation.
You guys have to think beyond just the tcg. It's a yearly vacation for a lot of families and vancouver definitely ranks up there with the top tourist destinations.

I love this idea. And I agree with all that you say about Vancouver. It's one of my favorite places. But if thinking beyond the TCG and a family vacation were the goal, why wouldn't Orlando be near the top of the list every year? It's only the most popular tourist destination in the world.
But, again, I just love Vancouver and it's a great choice. But the hotels in that city (especially near the Vancouver Convention Center, which is speculated to be the venue) are SPECTACULARLY expensive.
