Then allow other players to help instead of taking every crticism so personal. You say you want help, but then refuse to take it when it's given. And then you make a post like this and wonder why people mock you. It's not a 'Haha, look at this fool' kind of laugh; it's an awkward 'Wow...:eek:...I can't believe he actually did that!' kind of laugh.

How does that make any sense? If you're town you don't want any other group to win.

You want to know why people are voting for you? You're acting scummy. Really scummy. Lying about this secret message, whatever that "giving a second chance to the Enforcers" thing is, going after SS7 for no real reason, claiming you're the best player and that the town needs you to win among other things. Every single one of those things are scummy. I don't think anyone's vote for you right now is unwarranted.

I know I'm not the best player on the Gym yet, but I can be. I have the potential, but I've been hiding in the shadows for so long. If you say I'm so scummy, here's a thought for ya.

NO! I said I was Wigglytuff (oh the irony). I'm really not a fan of World of Warcraft and I do not know of any World of Warcraft kid. On top of that, I just killed SMP88! (Yes, I got a gun last night)
 
scorri blinks. scorri reads massive wall of text. scorri continues reading. scorri reads the bit where PM shoots someone. scorri facepalms.

scorri offers some advice:

-townies typically have no need to lie. PM had already role claimed, there was no reason that PM couldn't have character claimed as well. Hiding the message and then lying about it just make PM look worse.

-emotion is a null tell or it's negative. scorri looks at that post and thinks of a game scorri was just in where someone used emotional manipulation to get the vote off her and won the game for scum because of that. massive walls of text ranting about how everyone hates on PM and PM has the potential to be so much better than everyone else isn't helpful to the game and reeks of emotional manipulation to get the lynch off of PM.

-ask people for help after games. scorri doesn't know how things work around here, but on SF games have post games with player analysis but even if those don't happen, PM should after the game is over ask people what PM could have done better.

-don't just randomly shoot like that unless PM has valid reasons to think that someone is scum, not just that person doesn't believe you. a bad shot can end the game for town. scorri also just saw that happen. while scorri doubts town will lose because of this shot, scorri has already seen one townie die this day phase due to a day kill, scorri would really like to avoid seeing random people get shot just because one person is angry.

Wait, what? You can't even come close to the best player if you're going to have emotional rants like that. I'll believe you killed me when Pikamaster says.
 
PM, here are the reasons that scorri is going to continue to vote for PM:

1) PM lied when PM had no reason to lie.
1a) PM attempted to code PM's character claim as opposed to just saying it when PM had no reason to do so.
2) When PM started to gain a lot of votes, PM freaked out and tried to use emotional appeal to get said votes off of PM.
2a) PM had no reason to freak out like that and the overreaction is very off putting and may have in fact succeeded in getting votes off of PM but if it had, it would have been for all the wrong reasons. That rant did nothing to make PM look less scummy.
3) When presented with the opportunity, PM supposedly shot SMP88, a person who as far as scorri remembers, PM had never claimed to be scummy. scorri wonders why, if PM has this gun, why PM did not use it to shoot someone that PM had found scummy. Like whoever PM is voting for right now or Vablakes, or anyone that PM had found scummy before PM ranted like that. scorri sees the only reason for PM shooting SMP88 as being the fact that SMP88 did not unvote PM after PM's pity plea.

First of all, PM, you can't take this game personally. It's just a game.

Secondly, nobody here wants you to quit playing. As for XVI, you managed to make it to Day 4 as the Alpha in your first game here. That's pretty impressive. And as for XVII, we all shared in the Town's failure. The Wolves played a really good game, and managed to finish us off with a quick-lynch ending. It's not any one person's fault. Haters gonna hate, but you can't let that bring you down.

And this "lynch me and I'll quit" attitude isn't helping anyone at all, and definitely doesn't help your case. Many people die in this game; you just have to learn from your mistakes and move on.

I agree with scorri here: waynegg does seem to be taking advantage of PM's emotional outburst and provoking him, which I really don't see as very Town. And while I'm not defending PM, I don't like the buttons I see being pushed here.

I'm sorry I didn't get to come online sooner. Been at a summer camp and it's been really hectic. Plan time for WW, new activity comes up. Plan to post before bed (approx 1:00AM), fall asleep form exhaustion etc etc.

I THINK I've caught up with everything that's been said today. There's been a lot I missed.

I really liked SS7 post in regards to PM and his motives, concluding that he was not ATs killer. I also agree that the combined effects of that role would be OP.

AT's death could have been a vampire type kill, or it could have been a day PM thing. I guess we just have to wait and see if more turn up. If they do, perhaps it might be worth analyzing posts for a consistent plausible kill-word trigger.

PMysterious play today does warrant a vote in my opinion

Over emotional reactions, suspicious yet clear anti-town motives, obvious lies at attempts to mis-lead the town (LaL). It's conceivable that some Pokemon may not be a greater threat to the town as some of the other factions, but play like this is actually detrimental for the town.

PM, please take each game as a learning experience. Your play is improving. However the town is not and will never be "out to get you" purely because it's you. If you receive votes in a game, they are based on your play within that game, nothing more. Learn from your mistakes and try to improve your game in the future by not repeating them :)


Also guys, no one likes giant font sized walls of texts. Particularly not my meek little mobile browser. Chances are, people WILL see your posts, and if they don't, repetition will be sufficient to get someones attention.

ProHawk: I honestly would rather vote on someone that isn't in my favor atm and not some random player. If they are inactive, how would they see my vote if they are not on? I would rather not waste it.

jpulice: Hahaha no that's not why :lol: I voted for him because of quite a bit of his posts. They don't match up (or at least not to me) and he hasn't answered one of my questions, and it frustrates me. ESPECCIALLY since he apparently pulled out a gun and shot SMP88. I've voted for him once before, then change it. btw:

1. You said that you hate it when people misinterpret you.... But the fact is that NO one was misinterpreting you. YOU left that hidden message, and practically made everyone try to guees it. You can't blame us for that. Maybe if you said something simple like "the sky is blue" and everyone was taking it as you said "the sky is red" but thats not even CLOSE to the case.

2. Just, Please, stop taking this personally. I don't believe anyone would actually try to hurt your feelings. This is just a game, nothing is supposed to be taken to heart. It would sadden me if that actually did happen, but I do not believe that is the case. Just play. Now if this were real life I wouldn't being saying this so I guess we are all lucky :lol: just be happy :smile:

If PMysterious flips anti-town, I seriously hope he's only aligned with himself. Giving an anti-town faction that kind of vote inflation means that stuff like MYLO/LYLO come far sooner than it should. In any event. . .

AbsolTrainer's role was really good. I'm not sure how ridiculous items get in these games, but given Kayle's role, it seems they exist. Would having one that daykills be considered overpowered? I have yet to be in a game where someone is daykilled (as a role) without any indication of it in-thread.

I dislike emotional manipulation, and town does not have any reason to make people feel bad for lynching them. There's a lot of things that displease me in mafia, but very few are to the point where I'm willing to lynch someone over something that's not directly pertinent to game content. Making people feel guilty for voting has no place in this game, and for the sake of both my sanity and the rest of the players, that needs to be removed. In the words of another game (slightly modified to make sure I don't break any rules; SF's more liberal when it comes to things I can post):

Helios - if you suspect emotional manipulation, LYNCH THEM. Town has no reason to make people walk on eggshells because of a mislynch.

Pmysterious, are you claiming to have a gun? I do not believe you because it will allow you the ability to kill two people during the day. One with your vote ability and one with a gun. That is so broken. Town align player should not lie unless it is to hide their ability. Why are you feeling sorry for enforcers? Why do you want to keep them alive?
