The Player Rewards page has been updated at pokemon.com: http://www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon/play-pokemon-leagues/player-rewards/

Important stuff:
What can I earn?

Player Rewards are determined by the number of Play! Points earned in a year. For 2012:

5 or more Play! Points

All eligible players with at least 5 Play! Points will also receive a pack of Promotional Energy cards.

15 or more Play! Points

All eligible players with at least 15 Play! Points will also receive a pack of 3 great Promo Cards. There will be 4 copies of each promo card in the pack.

Top 100 Play! Point totals per age division

The eligible players with the top 100 Play! Point totals in each age division will also receive a pack of Play! Pokémon sleeves and 2 copies of a highly sought after Pokémon Trainer card.

Player of the Year

The eligible player with the highest Play! Point total in each age division will also receive Pokémon product for a full year. This will consist of two displays of each set released in 2013.

Rewards are subject to change at Play! Pokémon discretion and without prior notice.

So instead of the old system, where rewards were credited quarterly, now rewards are credited once per year.

2 copies of a highly sought after Pokémon Trainer card

Interesting. Think it'll be Tropical Beach, or just something on the level of Pokémon Catcher?

Also, I wonder how they will divide up geography for the Top 100 and Player of the Year? Think it will be the same as the Championship Point invitation divisions?

I'm wondering whether or not Judging Credit will be applied to P!Ps. Now there's actually something to PLAY for. And it's making me question whether or not I want to play or Judge...

I assume this takes effect in 2013 and 2012 rewards will be as they were?

someone didn't read the first line :p

Anyway I like the idea of cumulative rewards as opposed to quarterly, means I don't have to sweat about weather or not I have points for a quarter.

"Highly sought after Pokemon TRAINER card"... Since they are Item cards now, perhaps it'll be #1, #2, and #3 Trainers... Lol!

These are the things I'm wondering. I think the highly sought after card has to be Tropical Beach, it'll set a great precedent for them in the future, and give competitive players a real reason to really want to go to tournaments. The promo pack of 3 sets of cards should include Pokemon Catcher (assuming it won't be rotated out), and some other staples or something.

Also, I hope It's the same as the CP divisions for the Top 100. Player of the Year should be everyone (except divided by division) because it's supposed to be a huge honor.

You know, I did, then forgot that quick haha. A little sad they changed the rules of the game after it began, but there's something to work toward in 2013 (being top 100)

Which player level would you shoot for, though? You could meet the 15 PP requirement easily. But I suspect it would take A LOT of effort to be in the Top 100 Masters. With all that we participated in, Xander is in 26th place in 2012 Juniors with 70 PP, and I'm in 126th place with 65.

Yeah, with 2 copies of a highly sought after, it really sounds like Tropical Beach. Would be a very nice move on TPC's part.

So how great is "great"? Pokémon Catcher? What else?

There are A LOT of people with 15 Play Points. Almost every competitive player I would suspect. I don't think they would put that many new Catchers out in circulation, but hey, I have really no foundation to base that on. If they truly have no concern for the secondary market, maybe it doesn't matter to them at all.

It doesn't say anything about the 3 promos being trainers. What about the full art Giratina and Darkrai from the Japanese box set? There's probably another Japanese card we don't have that can be included as a promo.

I wish they wouldve gone with something like:

5+ gets ...
10+ gets ...
...
40+... gets...

Instead of making this a competition :/ But still nice to see that player rewards are back, now how can i check how many points I had in 2012 :D?

On the official Pokemon site. You can always look up your rank, from any year, weighed against any measurement of anything you can earn (CP Points, ELO, Play Points etc). It's all easy to use drop down menus.

I agree. 3 months into 2013 and some people have 67 points already (unless they consider the 2013 season to start right after worlds).

And here's where I checked: https://www.pokemon.com/us/account/championship-series/ratings-and-rankings/

Here's Masters in NA for 2012: https://www.pokemon.com/us/account/...0&type=cycle_pp&product=tcg&btn-search=Search

Found it, I guess 2013 is the season that started with worlds 2012. Does a season start or end with worlds? CP count towards the next year, right? Also playing worlds gives you a giant advantage. And I wonder if they'll do this per region or not. Because we dont have states in europe :/

Also:
1 Gawein Wagner Master NL 84 524 1819.59
2 Tristan Wagner Master NL 84 577 1729.41
3 Rick V Master NL 55 295 1778.61

How is that even possible :D?
