Funny YOU bring this up AGAIN. We did some searching around on PokeGym for fun and found a post from YOU when the tournament was in Arlington. And you know what? YOU were complaining about that drive as well.
While I'm here, I'll go ahead and tell everyone that Regionals will be held in Conroe, Texas or The Woodlands, Texas.
See ya there Whicker. Oh, and wear that pink hat again, it was cool.
No one wants to drive three hours, Cook, so my complaint was somewhat valid. I believe you forgot to factor in the fact that this post was probably made BEFORE REGIONALS WAS MOVED TO HOUSTON, therefore making it unusable in any argument against me if we ever discuss this.
But in all seriousness, my stance is the same last year because all of my arguments were, in fact, made stronger due to last year's results. I don't know the exact numbers, but I remember a vast majority of Oklahomans making the trip to Arlington two years ago. However, last year we had what, three? It is such an obvious fact that the location is discounting the Oklahomans, which are (suprise suprise) a part of the Southern Plains Region. Maybe you have forgotten? I find it difficult to believe that you "care so much about all the players" when you disclude us. That's like having three children named Houston, Dallas, and Oklahoma and saying "I love all of you, but Oklahoma goes without food tonight because I want Houston and Dallas to get more."
Again, this isn't the Texas State Championship, it is the Southern Plains Regional Championship. If Houston is better for players in TEXAS, then that should be the location of the STATE championship. However, somewhere in the Dallas area should be the location for the REGIONAL championship because it is better accomodating the REGION.
And no, I won't be there. I got LUCKY last year with my family's budget. Things are a bit rougher this year so a plane ticket is definitely out of the question. I also absolutely REFUSE to drive seven hours; that's just absolutely ridiculous.
