Hey bidier, i'm sorry to say, but I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Henry Liu is the only player in BC (masters at least) that has a ranking over 1700...I myself have a ranking of 1793 and am not considered that great a player among most people (for some reason?).
Even then, all rankings aside, I had the oppertunity to play against Henry myself at the Western Canadian Regionals, and was rather disapointed to be honest. No offence towards Henry, of corse, but I would not classify him among the best in Canada. His deck choice for regionals was sub-par, nothing better then a league deck, and made quite a few mis-plays during our match, including a critical sudden death play that cost him the game.
Enough about that, but saying that Canada's most experience top level player is just "good" is rather annoying...Being the only Canadian player top reach top 4 in our 05 nationals, winning the 2006 nationals, as well (along with Sebastion) being the first Canadians in masters to finish top 8 after swiss rounds at worlds. There's no denying that he is indeed one of if not the best player in canada.
Not only that, but you go on to say that Sebastion Creamer could not compete with the new top players in BC? After finishing 4th at WORLDS 04, being the only canadian player to reach top 4, if not top 8. He also was seeded 1st after swiss rounds at worlds 06. As long as he has the cards he could easily compete with any player in Canada, and would most likely make top 3 at Nationals this year should he attend. And no, knowing sebastion, he could care less about his reputation, the reason he is not competing this year is because he is focusing on school and soccer. If you don't believe me, wait until he comes back for nationals next year.
Now I could sit here and defend these two until the cows come home, but the fact of the matter is, bashing some of Canada's best players will not make anyone believe that you are, or your area is more competitive then they think. Winning Nationals on the other hand might do the trick.
Ps why do people guess the winner of nationals this year will be from either Ontario or Alberta? Take a look at the rankings...maybe thats why.
....just saying....

Hey Seb, looks like we agree on something (didn't see your post at the time of mine )
