Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Canadian Nationals Championships 2007

He didn't "quit" persay, he just didn't havethe time to commit to the game this year.

Now going on four tournaments in a row where I've only lost to Gordon...I'm happy with The 2007 Canadain National Runner Up Champion :p

Believe it or not...Going into the finals of regionals we were .02 points away from each other....

I don't know ... Ontario has a few high caliber players that will pose a challenge for you and Gordon (well, not me since I just recently picked up the game again, but I will not go down without a fight either  )

Not trying to say that I'm any good, but I like how everybody assumes that Mike and Gordon will be the only Alberta people there :p

And for the record, I did beat Gordon 6-2 in a game today. Flukes CAN happen. ;)

Well, we are ususally not favored in most competitions because we are considered old

Nah, that would be the systematic destruction of everybody in St. Albert at the Sandstorm Prerelease. Yay 7-0 and giving up a total of 3 prizes :) Or the 9-1 at the first City Championship. Or the top third at the 2001 WCSTS.

I like how all my major accomplishments are like 4+ years ago ^_^'' I guess that's what happens when you stop playing in favor of judging...

Well, at least you had your time in the limelight since I didn't even have a chance to play during the WotC days (I did nothing but judging  ). I guess coming back to the game now is to make up what I missed back in the day ...

to true, in all honesty, all three worlds invites are up in the air, and i think that it's very presumptues for any one to garuntee that they will win. Saying that you will win just makes you look bad if you do any worse then you said you would. (trust me, i know from experience). I also find it funny how everyone thinks that the t3 will be gordan followed by themselves then another person from there province. I can pretty much garuntee that the t3 will not be exactly as predicted. Notice how Gordan Coates, the defending Canadian National Champion is not on the boards telling everybody how he is going to win nats. Don't brag about how your going to win, win first, then brag about it later.

haha thats cause Gordon doesn't need to say it, everyone else says it for him :p

Good job Brendan you learnt your lesson ;-)

And finally, I never predected that I'd top three....well aside suggesting that the 4 in a row 2nd place finishes would carry over to nats ;-)

Either way, 23 days to go.
bad luck and good luck does exsist, but I was you all good luck :)

Mike, when i said people were saying that they were going to win, i was refering to a certain 'KID if you know who i mean.

Errr, I never said I was going to win nats o_O, if thats what you ment...

EDIT: never mind, I got it now, it just took me a while ;-)
