"I bet most of those many guys haven't played unlimited in at least a year."

Well, looking at the archetypes, everyone here has played unlimited.
I mean look at Lucario, it's hay-makerish.

As for unlimited, all the decks are really super fast so I'll just out-stall them and out-play them with babies, holon circle, Dark Porygon 2 and Houndoom. They will deck out.

Not with Aerodactyle in play!
Dactyl only stops evolution from the hand, not from the deck (I think candy gets around it too, but I might be wrong). Anyways, GGA is nothing compared to losing your entire opening hand t1 due to imposter proffessor oak's revenge+rocket's sneak attack+rocket's trap. If you don't start with cleffa t1 or td an oak, you've already lost the game. I do see wailord ex being a wall and can *maybe* deck the oppponet, but thats assuming the opponet doesn't play cleffa/NGR.

Why would u even play these decks in unlimited? There's much better choice.

anyway, i must admit unlimited is boring. New sets wouldnt even have the slightest effect on them.

Wailord ex?!

Now I KNOW this is all a pointless wind up!

Go on, post a deck list for wailord EX... I dare ya.

Frikkin-ridiculous.

Emmmmm just a thought...

If Unlimited is not "supported" anymore by POP, why follow they rules? Cant we "ban" cards that affects the game really (Like a Oak, whit "Broken" Draw power, or the lovely Sneasel). Restrict Oak or Goop Gas ( ) to be a Supporter instead a common trainer? I dont know... there's many ways to get around this...

We can have fun, just "friendly" modifying the rules... come on, i can join with my friends and play with this rules... why the world can't?

Cheers!!!

you...cant...be serious....

of all the cards you WANT to ban

you choose GGA

good god man

Ban Oak or Slowking or Sneasel if anything. Dont wast a ban on such a pointless card.

Unlimited is a format where, ok, you block my powers for 4 turns? /clap

Turn 5: abuse the piled trainers and set up in one turn, punt your budew, gust your wailord and render it useless in one turn by hitting it hard

EDIT: And im terrible in unlimited :D

This is why at events you pay $5 to enter an unlimited tourny, and even then you dont get that many signing up. Half the time a see people agree on modified over unlimited then sign up.

But

Goop Gas = Counterable

Or, play Feraligatr d.
Drag off Wailmers and KO them, or just take a Dwindling Wave and then OHKO with Rage from a Memory Berry/Meteor Falls.

Seriously, it took me about 3 Seconds to look up Wailord Ex and come up with a strategy to defeat it.

Here: I'll give you a list to use against an unlimited Wailord ex/Budew deck.

Pokemon: 14
4 Budew (yeah, you can use him to get your Oak to start it off)
4 Totodile d
2 Crocnaw d
4 Feraligatr d

NRG: 10
2 Scramble
4 DRE
4 Lightning

Trainers: 36
4 Oak
4 Bill
3 Erika
3 Challenge
4 Rare Candy
2 Nightly Garbage Run
4 Meteor Falls
2 Memory Berry (you probably don't need 6 shots with them, so you can just drop it to 4 meteor Falls after playtesting)
4 Celio's Network
4 Plus Power
2 Strength Charm

The ruling Ive heard:

Pokemon powers are neither Pokepowers or Pokebodies and therefore arent affected. Play cards from e card on and youll be fine.

Why ban a card that is extremely underused in a format where their are only 3-4 decks that are anywhere near viable...

I rofled when I read this thread, it's classic.

GGA is a card that reflects everything Unlimited SHOULD be: a techable counter to a strategy. Stop it with Slowking or bloody Psyduck (lol) if it's such a threat!

While we're at it, let's ban GoW too and we can all base it on luck with Magby and Brock's Mankey. Or not.

What powers are useful in Unlimited anyway? Blastoise and Slowking?
