Alright, every once and awhile, I like to "jump the gun" and proxy cards that I think will be really great fun to play in the next set. I couple years ago, I used a concept involving Typhlosion from Unseen Forces. Basically, I took a very powerful Fire type Pokemon, and eliminated its weakness, and took advantage of how it was able to deal max damage from taking damage itself. Well, since then, I've been looking for another really great Fire Pokemon to come out so I could apply the same principle. And he is from DP3...
Charizard L.55 – Fire – HP130
Stage 2 – Evolves from Charmeleon
Poke-Body: Raging Fire
If your opponent has 3 or fewer Prize cards remaining, all of this Pokemon’s attacks do an additional 50 damage to each Active Pokemon.
[R][R][R][C] Blast Burn: 120 damage. Flip a coin, if heads discard 2 Energy attached to Charizard, and if tails discard 4 Energy attached to Charizard. (If you can’t discard Energy, the attack fails.)
Weakness: Water (+40)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 3
Alright, so looking at him, you might not think very much of him. His attack is expensive, and just overall, bad. He's also very weak to Water, which is popular right now, that's even worse. So why do I care about this card? Well, I apply Holon FF to him, and not only eliminate his weakness, but make him able to fight back against the Empoleons and Feraligatrs. But how do I do that? Blast Burn is horrible, right? Yeah, it is. But, I don't focus on Charizard's attack, I focus on his PokeBody. And that's not all, in fact, I rarely use Blast Burn at all. Instead, I rely on using Memory Berry. And it just so happens that a Charmeleon from Crystal Guardians has a Rage attack. Decklist to follow...(Spoilers after the decklist)

[C][C] Baton Pass: 40 damage. You may switch Furret with 1 of your Benched Pokemon. If you do, you may move any number of Energy from Furret to the newly switched in Pokemon.

Professor Oak’s Visit – Supporter
Draw 3 cards. Then, put 1 card from your hand on the bottom of your deck.
You can only use 1 Supporter card during your turn. To use it, place it next to your Active Pokemon, and discard it at the end of your turn.
Strategy: Okay, so here's the deal. You setup with Corsola until you sacrifice it to a KO. You can continue to build up with Furret and sacrifice him as well. Furret is in the deck because of his amazing non-energy costing attack. And even if you have to start with him and attach energy, you can Baton Pass it to a member of the Char family. As I've already said, the Holon FF eliminates Charizard's Water weakness, forcing one to deal with its huge 130 HP. Once your opponent takes a Charmander or Charmeleon for the third prize, the real fun begins. Once Charizard's Raging Fire is activated, you use Memory Berries to use Rage or Flamethrower from Charmeleon. With Raging Fire activated, Charizard is doing 60 plus 10 for each damage counter on him for two of any energy. Pretty nuts right? Well, that's not even the best part. Say midgame you are running a little low on your Memory Berries, go ahead and drop the Quagsire, and grab two back. Each Memory Berry should net you a prize (hopefully). Ideally, you should have grabbed a couple with Furret earlier. Double Rainbows are in there to help recover after a KO, and to go ahead and utilize Blast Burn if you need to at the end of the game.
It's a rough concept, but I think with some tuning it could really make a nice impact. Another thought to tie into this deck would be the new Electrode. Go ahead and attach the DRE, blow up, take something out, or heavily damage, take Electrode attach as energy, and further activate Charizard's Rage.
