The Battle Tower uses hacks when you get far enough. My Metagross and Articuno lost to a Bastiodon that was suspiciously faster than the both of my pokemon and it OHKO'd them. :nonono:

Unless it had Inner Focus.
I haven't noticed any such things. Then again, I did find it somewhat odd that a Swalot managed to outspeed my Staraptor. Yeah, Battle Tower cheats. I second Psyco's motion to burn it to the ground.
If you mean Choice scarf, nope, not really. I've ruled that theory out due to the fact that, thanks to a misfire of my own attack, it had two attacks before it knocked my Staraptor out, one Sludge Bomb and one Body Slam. Not to mention this was when I was trying out Agility on my Staraptor (I decided against it, really kind of useless on one of the fastest pokemon in the game) and already had two stacked up against his last pokemon, a Froslass, and still got Speed pwned.Maybe it was Scarfed. Don't jump to conclusions.
Nope, it didn't. I payed attention the second time, because I wanted to know how it outsped me. Plus, even if it had been Quick Claw, I'd still say it's pretty suspicious for such an item to work twice in a row. Not quite as suspicious as three consecutive OHKOs with no missing, but still, pretty wierd. But remember that there is the item amination when it works, which might not have happened...
i say we burn the battle tower down in retribution
WHO'S WITH ME?!
I do it for the Power Items and Vitamins. Even though the smarter thing would be to use my fabulous riches on Fire Red to buy the Vitamins (I believe you can buy them on FrLg, am I right?) and then transfer them over with my army of Dittos (yay Dittoness!)That wouldn't be smart...
Sure, it might cheat, but they give you free Battle Points, and if you keep losing in set 2 about 27 times, you will have enough for Earthquake.
