I notice there aren't any prices on cards past POP5/Crystal Guardians. Until it's updated, should that link be up there anymore? Or maybe some sort of notice that the prices might not be up-to-date?

Do we have any volunteers to work as Price Guide contributors?

Mike, I should have time during the week after Thanksgiving. If you send me thru my email the excel file and exactly what needs to be update (yes include it all). I will hopefully have it done within or less than a week or two.

LMK,
Drew

Some of the prices for the older cards (I just grazed through it, but took a look at the 1st Ed holos under Neo Discovery and it was painful) are REALLY far off. The mint 1st Ed Umbreon in my store just sold for $25 or $30 (can't recall which one) and wasn't listed for terribly long. When you price them, is it a "run an eBay auction and all the people that find it in 7 days determine the price" or something like the average price on eBay and other card websites?

We generally use the prices that things sell on ebay as a baseline, yes. That is our mid-range price.

It's possible that prices are coming up from when we first priced these items a few years ago.
That's a good thing.

How is it that I bought a lv. x tin and the lv. x card alone is worth more than what I bought the tin for. There was also four packs of pokemon cards in the tin.

You have the promo version of the card. That is only worth about $5.
The version of the Level X that is found in packs is the one worth more money.

The guide has gotten out of date and hasn't been updated for a while, so it's sleeping at the moment.

is the guide being updated at all? does anyone have any plans to update it?
i would prefer a guide than asking people all the time.

We are lacking staff that can do the updates on a regular basis.

If anyone (suitable) is willing to volunteer...

I would be happy to help Scott update it and then stay on top of changes. Plus, there is something in there I would like to reference. It was excellent at least for reference purposes.
