let's see, what good are coins if you can't buy anything with them?

I know...

You use them to bribe the leader of the Subspace Army not to destroy the world!
 
My guess for Coins is unlockable things.
Like perhaps Tom-Nook? You pay him enough, and he comes over to your Brawl Roster. In ACWW he actually said he used to be a prize fighter!

Well, I can't see a use for them if we can't buy anything with them...

In Melee, coins were used for continuations...like 3 on easy mode and like 10 on hard and very hard mode...

I doubt you have every trophy, Maybe you have the easy ones to get ,but i doubt you have the (forgot name) Diskin (something like that) trophy, and some other one. You have to do these weird things like make it throguh an entire classic game without being hit once which is just one requiremnt, you also have to get every one of the scroed thingies (star KO, lost luggage, Mario maddness, etc)

I think the disken trophy is the one you need all of the Bonuses for. I now realize that I need a Pikmin file to get one of the trophies, so I'll have to borrow from someone to get that.

Yeah, I'm missing 4 Trophies.
1- Diskin
2- Mario Riding Yoshi (SuperMarioSunshine save file)
3- Mew (Beat Allstar on Hard without Continue) -IDK why I can't do this.
4- I don't remeber atm :D
 
Dunno what I'm missing, but I just got the Smash Coins trophy, doing a lot of 1:00 matches. I know that I'm missing the Diskin and the Pikmin needing one, but how do you activate the Mario Riding Yoshi one, does it just get it instantly, or do you have to do something?
 
you folk do know that mario riding yoshi, diskin (i think, not 100% sure), and samus without her helmet were only in the japenese version and you cant get them in the american game without using AR/GS.

and even if you could get mario riding yoshi it sure isnt that way becuase i do have a save file of mario on my mem card, and i dont have it. (because you cant get it)

P.S. did you know that this site thinks j a p (short for japenese) is a bad word? whats that all about?
 
That word was used as an insult during WWII or something I think...
You get some trophy by having Pikmin save file on your memory card...
How did you beat All-Star Hard? I just can't seem to do it...
 
yea i know you get the pikmin one that way, and you get mew from beating classic or adventure (cant remember) on hard or very hard (cant remember that either).
but i know its not from allstar, you get crazy hand trophy that way, i know for sure because i have the mew trophy and ive been trying to beat all star on hard FOREVER and i cant do it!

And I just checked. Diskun* is in the english; and the requirement is to get points in every bonus category... wow.
