A Complete TFG Probability Matrix + Equations

A fractal graph may be pushing it, and may seem to be overly complex. Not to mention probably a lot of work. But it would be quite neat to see one made up for Pokemon figures. I was thinking something simple, more like the probability density of each figure, or the probability density of each...

Question on the Resolution of Purple Attacks

I don't think you get to choose whether the attack is resolved or not. If I remember correctly (I don't have the rule book in front of me), the rules say that if Purple wins the spin, do whatever Purple says. It doesn't give you a choice.

A Complete TFG Probability Matrix + Equations

This should prove to be useful. I suppose it could provide some sort of frame for a metagame environment and show us what the "good" figures are. Good being a relative term of course, since luck is a major factor in this game. It also seems very interesting, but maybe that's just my math...

What is your team and strategy?

Let's see... Trainer/Trainer Cards Brendan Max Revive Max Revive Switch Pokemon Eevee (3 MP) Eevee (3 MP) Absol (2 MP) Ho-oh (2 MP) Lugia (1 MP) Murkrow (3 MP) This team works out pretty well. I use Eevees (who make suprisingly decent blockers) to sit on top of my opponent's...

    Project TFG-Dex

Ah. This list should come in handy. Much obliged. Anyway, the Sculptor for Tauros is Nakazawa Hiroyuki. I don't have any of the other figures.

    Your opinion on Voltorb?

Voltorb can be decent, but it's very situational. And, most likely, it'll be Knocked Out because you'll either spin miss, or one of the white attacks. Explosion is ok, but will most likely bring down just Voltorb and the defending Pokemon. In the case that it's not surrounded, it can also...

    Safe storage / transport?

When I need to carry my figures around, I use a metal Wii carrying case that I bought about a year ago. Since everyone around me has a Wii now, my case has now been used solely to tote around Pokemon figures, as there's no need to use it to carry my system. It's kind of hard to explain. I...

    IGN Interview

From the tone of the interview, it seems like they expect this game to hang around for quite some time, what with future sets being planned, the possibility of new playmats, and the mentioning of the same pokemon but different figures, etc. That's always good news.

    Groundbreakers

Hm. Seems interesting. Though I'm not inclined to believe it until Nintendo actually says something about it themselves. If this is indeed a new set, let's hope the figures don't break too easily, as was the case with several figures in Next Quest that I've seen in stores. And that there is...

    A Few Simple Questions

That's how I've sort of been playing as well. Now I can take comfort in the fact that I think I can bring along multiples of trainers. That's a pretty good strategy. What I like to do is to block both of my opponent's entry points with Pokemon who have 3 MP, then clean up the rest field with...

    A Few Simple Questions

I think the event will utilize the basic 3-trainer rule, not the point system. But the amount of trainers I can use is not what's bugging me, it's the number of copies of each trainer that I can use. I suppose I'll just see what rules they actually set at the place; it's up to them, I suppose...

    A Few Simple Questions

I'd just like a few things clarified. There's a tournament this Sunday at a local store, I think, and would like to make sure that I'm playing right. I looked in the rule book, but it doesn't clarify much (or anything at all, for that matter). The first thing concerns trainer cards. You...

    Figures break too easily

They do need to be a tad bit more durable. I went to a local Toys R Us today, and there were several figures that were off of their bases or otherwise broken. The Mudkip single packs were most often the ones that were falling apart, from what I noticed. I have a Ho-oh that broke right out...
