I saw a video on YouTube probably 2 or 3 years ago and it was someone showing their Nintendo Black Star Promo collection.

They happened to have #001 Kyogre ex and #002 Groudon ex (both non-holo) with no barcode at the bottom!
I have not seen these cards since then (and even after hours of searching, I can no longer find the video :().

The collector claimed that they had come from someone in Australia and were exclusive releases there.

So I did even more research. I found out that the 2 promos were indeed released in Australia through a magazine called K-Zone. But other than that, I don't know if the copies had the barcode or not or anything else.

I've done a ton of searching for these cards and I can't find any hard proof that they exist.

I know it's possible that they were fake cards in the video, but all of the other cards in the collection were definitely real, so who knows.

If anyone has information, please share! :)

maybe the camera didnt show them up close cause i know the ones without the barcode were the holo ones.

No I don't think that was it. The collector specifically pointed them out and you could see it clearly. The bottom yellow border was thin and not thick like the cards that have barcodes are.

Probably a stupid question, but were they Japanese? The Japanese versions didn't have the barcode. And in the right light their gray border might have looked yellow.
But other than that, I have no idea. That was around the time that I stopped playing.

I don't think so, though it's been a long time since I've seen the video! lol

The rest of the cards were English, so I'm going to guess that they were English as well.
