Decided to switch it up at this event and play LuxChomp to see if I can play something besides Gyarados, lol.

Luxray GL/Garchomp C
Round 1: Blaziken FB/Garchomp C
I started off strong with lux/call to which he Jet Shoots T2. We trade a couple KO's but I ended up getting set up well in the "counter-war" and pulled it out thanks to a couple clutch sprays to keep his hand down to 1 card.

Round 2: Kingdra/Garchomp C
He starts off strong, but a well timed power spray really put a hinder on his set up...for one turn! He topdecked Cyrus and was back in the game, sniping my garchomp. I return the KO with ambipom and after that, I take back control thanks to the x2 weakness on Kingdra and build up my chomp counters, but spraying his uxie again with a 0 card hand sealed the game in my favor.

Round 3: Michael - Kingdra/Gengar
This was a crazy match! He missed Poletergeisting my lone Luxray GL ftw and I got set up pretty well. I don't remember much of this match aside from that it ended up being slightly lopsided in my favor most of the time.

Round 4: Aaron - Flygon/Gengar
Probably my quickest game of the day. All came down to spraying his uxie, leaving him with a 0 card hand while I take a few prizes on his vibravas and trapinches. He gets a bebe's for another uxie, but I had the spray again and swept from there. Just got lucky with my sprays, having them at the right times.

Round 5: Magikurt - Kanye.dec
He starts awful, while I KO two karps until he gets a sableye out, which he impersonates twice as I bright look KO his g'dos then his sableye after giving me a 4 prize lead until he regimoves/Tail Revenges my Azelf for a KO (pulling 4th karp from prizes). By this point I'm completely set up and take my last two prizes with luxray.

Top 8: Vilegar
G1: I start with Call, DCE, Garchomp C, Garchomp C X, Luxray GL X, Poketurn, Copycat to his lone spiritomb. He got out a haunter thanks to collector, but I sniped it that turn followed by the KO on tomb and necer let him set up.
G2: I start with garchomp c, 1 energy, 5 trainers to his gastly start. He sets up like butter and absolutely trashes me. No contest, I was DEEEEESSSTROOOOYED! Never had a turn without trainers.
G3: I get lux/call start with lux x in hand and manage to keep control the entire time. I get lucky that he tries to "set up" before retreating to spiritomb and it allows me to spray, keeping his hand down to 2 cards, so i took advantage of it and KO the tomb before he can darkness grace into gengar. He still gets it out, but I end up pulling prizes around it.

Top 4: Josh - G'dos
G1 / G2: I spray all of his uxies (thankfully) and Lux/Luc all.the.waaaaay. Hardisty is a great guy, I was glad to see him make it so far with Gyarados. Sorry we had to meet in top 4 man, you had a solid deck and played well!

Top 2: Michael - Kingdra/Gengar
Rematch from Ada! We both happened to make it to Top 2 again, so I kinda figured he'd be coming for revenge.
G1: Wasn't much of a match, he mops the floor with with my deck and shows exactly how serious his deck is. I managed to take 4 prizes on cheap bright looks, but his Gengars are too much.
G2: He gets a horrid start, while I take a few prizes with Luxray until he belts his lone Gengar and poltergiests the KO. I hit the uxie X/DCE ftw the next turn.
G3: I spray a couple uxies and learned to bright look/Dragon rush 3 of his gastlys to keep him from being able to keep a Gengar on the field. With one Gengar and only kingdras available, we take it down to 2-3 my favor and I ko the gengar, risking the fainting spell (with the ability to dragon rush next turn). He hits tails and I'm guaranteed the win the next turn. He still gets out belted kingdra prime but it's just not enough. Very close game. Sprays definitely saved my bacon.
