Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

1st Place in Woodbridge, VA

On Saturday, January 10th, I marked my first Cities Tournament win. With Over 60 people I went 5-1 in regular play, then battled my way to the finals to win. The challengers I faced were in the top of their state. When I drew my last prize card of the night, it still didn't hit me that it happened, but everyone I talked to had a feeling it would. All of those challengers I faced had been there before, I had not. In the end, many words were being tossed around, like "it's about time", or "finally". In truth, it was my time. I felt like everyone who was supporting me knew I could do it. After many recent top-cuts, I knew I was getting closer to sweet victory. It just hit me sooner than I thought, but in due time. The long road there gave me the courage and confidence to do anything, even outside of this simple card game we all know and love to play. Many have started to say that this will be the year that I flourish in this card game, but only time will tell.

I want to thank all those who have supported me in my career; the Tuskeys, the Sanyers, Leah, Shadow, Johnny, Dan, Dean, Stephen Y, Stephen S, Nate, Tim F, Tim C, and all others

Peace

Way to go man! It couldn't have happened to a "nicer" person!:thumb::eek::lol:

Seriously though, well done Josh!

You DO seem to be on the come up partner....

You've top cut in every cities you've showed up to this season ... and you finished STRONG in late Fall BRs...

I don't really see your deck losing much in coming format w/ Platinum release either... so... GET AT 'EM DAWG !!

Well done.

Heckuva job, Josh!! You are absolutely correct; you played some of VAs top players Sat and made AMU perform masterfully for you. Congrats on graduating from the "who's that guy?" group to the "Hey, Josh!" group!! Just realize now that folks'll be gunnin' for you!!!

Congrats again! Wear the medal with pride (once you get it, that is....)

Nice job josh, if Stephen Y. is supposed to be me, it's Steven, anyways....good luck, have fun, and good job!

Josh - Why not write a real report? ;)

Nice job on your first CC win. Pressure's on at States. Look forward to seeing you there.
