If the deck is built correctly to counter the most rational and probable decks there then that deck could quite possiably win without testing

um no...

I agree with Generalgriveous... some people have the ability to make a deck and just play it out of the blue and win with it. Ask my opponents about the deck I used out of the blue in Sherman, TX... it did pretty good for a new, fresh deck that hadn't been practiced with at all. Of course, I'm one of the exceptions to the rule... most decks need practice to reach their peak.

And yes, I may have a new deck, out of the blue, for this tournament... I gotta be consistant.

TV commercials started running in the Houston area for the Pokemon event at the Space Center. Is anyone else seeing them (outside of Houston)?

Pikachu should be making an appearance on Pepsi cans real soon......

Sounds cool, I'll keep a look out for that... since I'm ST Pika, I must get any Pikachu related merchandise, lol.

Oooohhhh... The UPS man has been a very busy man this week... Lots of stops at the Team Cook Hacienda.

UPS Man = Door Prizes

I'm going to keep you in the dark -- just a little bit longer....

Just a reminder....

HOTEL INFO:

Our preferred hotel for this event is:

Homewood Suites by Hilton
401 Bay Area Blvd.
Houston, TX 77058
281-486-7677

To get our special group rate of $ 84, you must make your reservations by March 23rd, and you must mention group code/keyword POKEMON.

This rate includes a FULL breakfast buffet (not one of those skimpy "continental" breakfasts!) for anyone staying at the hotel. (This alone makes staying here worthwhile!)

We will also have a get-together and warm-up tourney at the hotel on Friday night for those staying at the hotel. We'll have more info on this later.

ATTENTION........

The only rooms available are the ones being held for us -- and those are going fast. There are no rooms available to the general public for either night (Friday, April 7th or Saturday, April 8th). If you're attending Regionals, you're not part of the "general public", you're part of "us".

So, go ahead and book your rooms. Call the hotel directly, and be sure to mention "Pokémon".
