Thought I'd skip Birch and give you a SW card!

Professor Oak's Visit is basically TV Reporter with a different effect. Instead of discarding a card after you draw, you have to put it on the bottom of your deck. This may or may not be beneficial depending on the deck you run, so choose carefully. Sadly, Professor Oak's Visit is now outclassed somewhat by Suzy's Lottery in DP4.

Modified - 9/10 (Solid source of draw and an alternative for TV Reporter)
Limited - 10/10 (The choice draw card here, as you get an extra card as opposed to TG's Mars)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Outclassed by the original Professor Oak as well as other draw cards)

Solid draw card.

Unlimited :(/10

Modified 8/10. Not as "oomf"ish as Steve/Copycat, but an overall good card, and a solid alternative to TVR. The best part is that by the card going on the bottom of your deck as opposed to being shuffled in, you're technically not de-thinning the deck (VERY important in the late game, as you need to be able to play your odds well).

Limited 10/10. Most draw and deck thin is great to play in limited.

This card is amazing! It is definetely the best draw for decks that don't benefit from discarding. It is better than Bill's Maintenance since it takes a card away after you do the drawing, giving you more options. It is very similar to TV Reporter in this way, except TVR discards it instead of putting it onto the bottom of your deck! Now, some decks like Infercatty for example, work best when :fire: are in the discard, so this is not the best draw for that deck. But in most cases, Prof. Oak's Visit is the new standard!

9.15 Modified
And since we will be having Prereleases soon, I'll give it a score for Limited to day! 9.65 because any draw power in this format will be quite beneficial.

this is GOOOD

Dpeneds on deck you run

Some deck like Blissey and Infernape needs TVR

Empoleon and Mario would work better with Oak's Visit

As I said, it all depends on the deck you run.

Seems to be a nice solid draw card. Since everyone has pointed out that this card is better in some decks and tv reporter is better in sum, ill leave it at that. Pokedex/dusk ball/down draw pokemon could work well with it ^^
Mod. 8.5/10 (I would wait to see it in action but ill just use my brain here)

Limited 10/10 (Nothing like draw power here ^^)

Unlimited 2/10 (I cant think of anything for it here)

Hmmm... with a card like dusk ball or other cards that grab cards from the bottom, Prof Oak's Visit works for me.

I like it it's cool. I can't wait for Secret Wonders! Drawing 3 cards is good in most decks. Not discarding a card is good if you are not running and Infernape or anything. I would give it a 9/10.

it is a good draw card like tv reporter but might not work with decks that like to discard such as infernape
8/10

Wonderful. Without comparing it to all the other draw cards, this seems extremely good. Going out on a limb with 8.5/10.

It's a good draw power card, which may replace TVR in decks that don't need stuff in the discard pile once the format rotates. 3.75/5.

most of what needs to be said has already been posted, but i'll recap by saying it's a great play in place of tv reporter, unless the discard benefits your deck (e.g. infernape, blissey, typholosion) where in that case stick with tv reporter. the dusk ball and electabuzz d ideas are interesting but why put a card you want/need on bottom just to get it back, seems redundant to me. cyrus made the best point when he said thinning your deck is crucial late game and in that respect this card won't help. this allows your opponent a better copycat but a weaker team galactics's wager;a fair trade-off if you can accurately predict a large TGW field you may choose to max this card if you aren't very good at rock paper scissors. ;] overall i rate this card well from it's release up to DP4.

Modified:8.25/10
Limited:9.50/10
Unlimited:1.25/10

thx for reading, hope this was informative.

Well, since people are Wagering all over the place now, you might want to use TVR over this so you can discard crap you don't need instead of possibly drawing said crap as one of your three lost Wager cards.

so if someone plays this and then accidentally or "accidentally" shuffles their deck, would they get a penalty?

back on topic, this is TV Reporter w/o the discard. this makes it superior in most decks because you don't really lose the card, you just get it out of the way for a while. i like this better than TVR because i sometimes end up discarding a night maintenance, windstorm, etc. early on that hurts me later or costs me the game. With this, i could just put said windstorm, night maintenance, etc. on the bottom of the deck, and draw back into it later when i need it.

9/10 only because you sometimes want to be able to discard w/ TVR

depends what deck you run, but if yours doesn't depend on deck thinning to find techs/essential cards/etc, or benefits from the discarding effect of tvr/adventurer, then POV is definitely a decent choice for straight draw.
