Nice to have a pokemon that can (potentially) do good damage, an attack that can get any kind of trainer card (luxury ball?) AND has fighting resistance!

7/10 :)

What to play for a starter? Jirachi? Sableye? No, let's take a Welsh bird with a leak in its wing! Good starter, affordable, I play it in my deck. Downside is energy for first attack and coin flips for second attack, but I think it is actually pretty darn good.

8.3/10

I pretty much ignored this card until I saw a discussion in Cards: Strategy, Rulings, and Collecting. Now I am giving it a closer look and I like it. A colorless potential starter is always nice since it can be added to almost any deck. It needs an energy for the first attack and then retreat which may not always happen with your opening hand. Still, I am going to give it a try and will say 7/10 in general.

The only thing i don't like about this card is the resistence. Fighting resistence on a basic is no longer that big of a deal. You resist machamp, but machamp doesn't care. Otherwise it's a great card that should see some use.

8/10

This card is EPIC in PreRelease and Draft play if you get any playable trainers say Luxary Ball or Potion.
This card is a decent in the current Modified format.
This card wouldn't do too much for you in Unlimited.

Limited 10/10
Modified 7/10
Unlimited 1/10

It can do well, but it should have a free attack...

8.5/10 (cut down because of the energy needed...)

THis is a very nice card that can get you a rare candy or a luxury ball or other things that would make your set up really fast. THe retreat is the same as the attack cost so you dont need to attach more then 1. I used this at my pre release and It won me some maches with the fast setup.
good card and will be played
7.5/10

Already time for another CotD?

Farfetch'd SF isn't too much of a laughing matter, unlike what his name suggests. 70 HP is average for a big Basic Pokemon, +20 Weakness to Lightning might hurt if Magnezone takes off, -20 Resistance to Fighting is good enough, and 1 Energy for a Retreat Cost is normal. Go and Collect is a bit inferior to Sableye's Impersonate, but it still gets you any Trainer you need to your hand. Fury Cutter is a cheap attack that can deal up to 50 damage for 1 Colorless Energy, depending on how lucky you are with coin flips.

Modified - 6/10 (He's a good starter, but is overclassed by Sableye and others)
Limited - 10/10 (Searches out what few Trainers you have and can deal cheap damage. Almost a must-use if you get one)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here really)

70HP would have been a very attractive HP for a basic, but with Kingdra's use of pluspowers, it's not a safe boundary.

Jirachi rivals this card with the ability to use special :metal to reach the HP boundary as well as a strong second attack. It also keeps your card secret for suprise tactics, but stops your next draw.

Sableye is another effective starter, as is call energy.

The easiest way to compare Farfetch'd and Jirachi is to think of Farfetch'd as saying "search for a trainer then draw a card". If your deck style needs trainers more and values that extra draw, perhaps. Rare candy is a good example, something like Kingdra could use Farfetch'd to pull great ball, luxury ball or rare candy to fit the last jigsaw piece with the other cards in your hand. With a 4 Kingdra, 4 Candy build, you could Go and Collect the candy, great ball -> horsea, luxury ball -> kingdra or a pluspower to get the setup. Is it worthwhile in the long run? Worth testing, but I'd hedge my bets with "no".

6.5/10 - Something to consider, but nothing special.

It would be better if it could grab one of each as an energyless attack and had free retreat.
Oh well. :) I'm not sure about this over Chatot. But hey it has a two energy attacks.

6/10
