5/10. Nice poke-body, but colourless resistance is seeing play with gengar and dusknoir... needs 2 different energy for main attack.., shame...shame..

Its an alright card. Its another Luxray for me personaly. 140 hp!! Seeing as its not a lv.x thats very good. Retreat cost isnt the best. 8/10.

Like the card very much, made an experimental deck with 4-3-4 SF Salamence and 3-2-2 Togekiss to power it up fast , claydol line of course added. 16 energy ( 9 water, 9 Fire ) and 4 rare candies , 3 night maintenances and 4 Poke Radars as engines for this ( 3 bebe's and 3 Rosseane's as part of the mix , Luxury Ball, etc. ). Works good vs 120 or more HP decks ... with Eevees or AMU not as much ..mainly weak to Togechomp decks, and resistant to Machamp ones ... a lot of fun to play. Way better than it's predecessor.
8/10 and with good potential for a real competitive deck if played well.

its 18 energies, u said 9+9,

not the best, to much coloress resistene nowadays, its acually only good if u can a contsant quick way of attaching energeis or if your opponenet always has a 120 Hp or higher

6.5/10

6/10

its ok but there are sill decks with less than 120 hp and like everyone has said there is to much colorless resistance but if one of the opponents pokemon has 120 hp or more and u can get energies on him quick then it is pretty good.

yay 7th post!!!!!

This card is one of those cards that has so much potential, just not at the right time. With Gengar and Duskinoir being around as probably the second most used deck, this card is so risky to play. I think its an excellent card, just not right now.

7.5/10.

Today's CotD is Salamence from the SF expansion, which in my opinion is a fairly underrated card. Stat-wise, 140 HP is slightly above average for a Stage 2 (always good), a +30 Weakness to :colorless (good since Blissey isn't exactly dominating like last year), a -20 Resistance to :fighting: (good if Machamp picks up) and :colorless:colorless:colorless for a Retreat Cost (eh, about average depending on the Pokemon). Salamence's Poke-Body, Battle Rush, is one of the best yet I feel; as long as your opponent has a Pokemon out with 120+ HP, you can ignore all :colorless costs for Salamence's attacks. This is incredibly nifty given that many decks have Pokemon with 120+ HP, so you will be attacking cheaply for most of the game. Combustion deals a solid 50 for :fire::colorless (only :fire: if the Poke-Body is active), making it a simple, but effective attack. Stream Twister deals a hefty 120 for :fire::water::colorless:colorless (again, only :fire::water: if your Body is active), but you have to discard a :fire: and :water: off Salamence, so only use it when you can OHKO things.

Modified - 8.5/10 (An underrated card that could make a neat deck)
Limited - 5/10 (It's unlikely you'll use Salamence's Poke-Body here, but Combustion is still a good attack, and he does have some nice HP)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here)

(Yay 10 th post!!!!) I think this card has potential.

6/10

(crap!!!!! 11the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

wow, evan i did not see that, good goin man! *high fifes zathaz*
any ways, this card is nice if fast enough set up 8/10 for weavile

I like it because just about any Stage 2 pkmn have more than 120 HP. W/that, 3 Energy for 120 is really nice. 7.5/10 (mainly because it can be walled by Garchomp)

I really like this card, but cards like Froslass, Leafeon, and other S1 decks will eat it for breakfast. The resistance is nice, because Machamp is big in the "What Won Cities" Thread. I can see a decent rogue with Salamence, but that's about it.

7/10

Could be a nice play at the Junior level due to their opponents not watching the 120hp level.... But Masters can plan around it too easy. I like the card itself, but what everyone else above has said stands true.... Good Card - Wrong Meta....

6.5/10
