Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2008 Ohio State Championships

Thanks Mew, we judges tried to be the best we could, and make the event run as smoothly as possible. It's always great when the players notices how hard we work. Congrats to not only the winners, but all the players! I saw little to no drops during the day, and some great good sportsmanship.

I would also like to thank Ryan P and John L for bringing this all together, and my fellow judges, I think we did a great job!

I know that judging isn't easy, but I have also seen some judges who take the shortcut to make things easy for them. I know that you guys worked hard and I didn't see anyone going on the easy route. I especially know it was hard for those who judged my seniors round 2 against Spencer. LOL I'm sorry about that.

Good job everyone! It was a blast judging. Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to the rest of the judges for working so hard. Thanks Ryan for putting it on!

Great States event again, Ryan. My only complaint was the skinny tables, but what can you do. Thanks also to all the judges, everything went off great (well, except the my random deck check ). Despite my deck dying mid tournament I had lots of fun and my son made Top 8 in Junoirs to boot.

Looking forward to heading up to MI next week.

I actually did not have a problem with the skinny tables, other than with Paul as I had a ton of energy on my active so I had to turn my blissey side ways for it to fit. I did have a problem when I had to sit by Denny. I do not think I want to be the close to him again, but on a good note, at least it was Denny and not some creapy creapy. We just had to many tubby people in one little area with him and myself. lol

My problem with the skinny tables are that many dice rolls find their way off the table and there is not much room for my hands and I had to constantly remind myself to keep my hands up above the table. I have never had that problem before.

Still a good day! I second what everyone has said - smooth tournament, nice judges, and I'm not sure how you pulled off the awesome weather but what a bonus.

Plus I heard great feedback about the 'parent' room from a friend who brought his sons but did not play himself. The only thing that would have made that room better was if the Wii was set up earlier!

Not to mention those of us judges (myself included) that are members of "Team Belly" LOL

Go Team Belly! We all had a ton of fun! I can't wait to get my chance to play this week MI is gonna get taken over by all the other states!

I I especially know it was hard for those who judged my seniors round 2 against Spencer. LOL I'm sorry about that.
