It's a useful card, if you are already playing Azelf and Psychic/Multi Energy. Otherwise, leave it in the binder.

6/10

Yeah... this is ONLY for a tech or in AMU. There are some decks this card could hurt a little but most decks it probably won't do much.
5.5/10

This card is great!! I can't even count how many times this little guy saved me-especially against Sceptile decks! Plus no weakness!!!

Very good card, solid 8/10

Azelf makes my Torterrible deck very sad. It's pretty much relegated to being a tech besides comprising a crucial part of AMU. Still, Deep Balance absolutely punished with impunity when it comes to Sceptile and Magleaf. You just never know when you'll need it, and the more options, the better.

Modified 8.6/10

It's body stops all psychic weakness, which can definitely help (run lake boundary+azelf level X and mewtwo level X, you're invincible to a lot) It's attack isn't amazing, but it isn't phail, either.
Maybe a 7.3/10...it's basic form is great as it is.

This card is instrumental in some battles for the AMU deck, AMU already has the ability to get in a quick 60 with
Zen Blade, or a huge 200 for a KO. THis gives you a strong sniper against decks like T-tar and Leafon/Secptile decks
that either run a lot of energy, or thrive on getting energy out quickly. When running this with Palkia LVX in that
AMU deck, it gives you the ability to pull out a high retreat pokemon, and snipe over it for a lot of damage, expecially
against T-Tar. And it's really nice to not have any weakness when going against Dusknoir/Gengar!

99/100
AMU Deck: 99/100, as already stated, lol! I love rating my Pixis!! (It's about time!)

I think you'd be much better off taking out T-tar with a quick 200 than letting it sit around charging up its super spread.

Yep... it's better to OHKO T-Tars when able...:thumb: but azelf may damage claydols aswell

8.5/10 on psychic decks
7.5/10 as a tech in other decks

9 times out of 10 yes, you are right. But in one game, I was able to drag out a T-Tar with no energy,
and with about 10 energies on the field with Other T-Tars and a Darkrai, it only took 3 turns to take my last
3 prizes, go figure! It's certainly a better option OHKO the T-tar that is spinning its tail
and destroying everything on the field, but my point is is that this adds another tremendous option
to use in the AMU bag of tricks!
Hence the high rating!

It very good in alot of decks and even if your opponent just plays a few energys its good to kill a weak pokemon that they left on the bench or its good in snipe decks like dusknior.
7.2/10

Today's CotD is Azelf Lv X. Though primarily used in AMU decks to be able to use Mesprit Lv X's Surpreme Power attack, Azelf Lv X has some nifty tricks of his own. Statwise, 90 HP is ok for a Lv X leveled up from a Basic (20 HP improvement), has an x2 Weakness to :psychic: (which is negated by his Poke-Body, more on that later), no Resistance, and costs :colorless to Retreat. His Poke-Body, Psychic Aura, negates any weaknesses on your :psychic: Pokemon (which is more often than not the :psychic: type ironically). This gives a boost to your :psychic: Pokemon, and can conceivably be useful for any Psychic deck. Deep Balance is a great attack for :psychic:, letting you choose one of your opponent's Pokemon and putting damage counters on it equal to all Energy your opponent has in play.

Modified - 7/10 (A worthy consideration if you play with Psychic Pokemon and use Azelf LA for shifting through your prizes)
Limited - 7/10 (I'd personally put him in a binder so he doesn't get damaged, but he is playable, Deep Balance is a fun attack since energies tend to get piled on benched Pokemon often)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here)

This card was beautiful back when Blissey was common-place in my area (and believe me, it was sometimes an agitating piece of metagame and still is played by some), and (if I still had one) I'd be running it in my new Dusktwo Deck as a tech and a back up (which would also give me a real reason to run Azelf in that deck as there are some better options).

Not a bad card when running Psychic Decks or playing against metagame decks that use a ton of energy at once. Otherwise, it's not so great.
