This can give zone decks a decent power attack in addition to the autoparalyze, charge beam is really kind of bleh when you already recycle in zone decks with various things.

6/10 for giving a power attack to a clunky deck, while also being VERY slow to setup...

This card is amazing, and is a must in any Zone Deck. I think it is a really good card, and doing 30 while adding an energy from the discard is pretty dang good too. I really enjoy this card.

8/10---yes it is that good :)

I'd have to say this magnezone is outstanding! 2 retreat cost is really poor ... 4 for 60 is just horrid but if u discard 2 energies u may do 120 which is a 1hko on mostly anything. the card is pretty good if u build around it correctly, it is possible to pop 120 every turn. 1 for 30 isn't half bad either with the ANY energy attachment deal. I'm going to say 6/10 because 4 energies is a lot! 2 retreat is a lot. i don't think it will see too much play

I LOVE it. It will fit in a deck with the Magnezone (SF 6/100) I belive that the one with Super connectivity if you have two of that out you can get the energy's back with the price of 2 damage and have a Nidoqueen So you will only take one damage from two super connectivity and every turn do 120

8/10
Just a fantastic card.

With very many Magnezone cards that we have, it is sad that not many Magnezone decks run around at the moment. I guess the format is really not friendly with the floating magnet. This Magnezone, in particular, stands out as it can be a great main attacker if set-up right.

HP of 130 is normal for a Stage 2 these days and expect it to last a turn or two. Weakness to fighting is bad with Machamp (SF), resistance to Metal is helpful (but not overly useful since there are not may Metal decks around), and retreat cost of 2 is somewhat nice for a Magnezone, although still quite expensive.

Charge Beam is a nice attack if you don't have enough energy attached to it. Although with the damage output, you should better be relying on the second attack as your main attack. Metallic Bolt is bad since it does 60 for 4. However, if you discard a Lightning and a Metal energy, it goes up to 120, which is great. Another great thing is, it is not mandatory to discard anything. If you feel that the Defending Pokemonc can be KO'd by only 60 damage, you can get away with not setting yourself back a few turns of energy attachment.

Theoretically, you can do 120 damage per turn using Metallic Bolt, and with all the other resources Magnezone has at its disposal, it is not that difficult to do. Having a Magnezone (SF) with Super Connectivity on your bench can let you attach an energy from the discard and with Conductive Quarry, you can flip for a heads, and attach another energy for Magnezone, enough for another use of Metallic Bolt. However, if you don't want the flippiness of the Stadium, you can get have another SF Magnezone on your Bench, although that may be clunky. Adding Electivire (SW) can be good with Magnezone LV. X to move energies around. It may be good to tech in a Nidoqueen (RR) just to offset the drawback of Super Connectivity.

No doubt that Magnezone decks are fun to use with the many options available. However, the deck is just too slow and disruption in the form of Bright Look can instantly ruin your set-up. Nevertheless, this Magnezone is one of the best as the precursor to the Level X.

Modified- 7.5/10 (good attacks and fun to use with other Magnezones, although too slow for the format)
Limited- 0/10 (promo...)

Today's CotD is Magnezone NDP44, an ok Magnezone overall. Statwise, 130 HP is average for a Stage 2, +30 Weakness to :fighting: is icky, -20 Resistance to :metal: is...better than nothing, and :colorless:colorless to Retreat is ok. Charge Beam is nice for :lightning, letting you deal 30 and grab an Energy out of the discard pile and put it onto Magnezone. Metallic Bolt is pricey at :lightning:metal::colorless:colorless for 60, though if you choose to discard a :lightning and :metal: Energy on Magnezone, it grows to 120 damage instead. Overall, maybe worth a consideration in Magnezone decks (though they already run a rather tight line), as it does combo well with the SF 6 one and Lv X form, letting you deal 120 damage rather consistently.

Modified - 7/10 (Not too bad, but Magnezone is also rather dead too)
Limited - 0/10 (Promo card sadly, Charge Beam would be a nice way to self-power once you brought him out)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here)

This is an amazing card. The only real knock on it is that you pretty much have to combo it with something else to get maximum effort. I think that many of the best cards can really stand alone if need be.

However when y ou do combo it with the Superconnectivity Magnezone or Electivire and Zone lv.X then you really do start to see this card shine. 120 every single turn is just brutal.

This card is easily my favorite attacking Zone.

7/10

This is the must include Magnezone. The ability to do 120 is critical to making Magnezone work. 60 and running... paralyzing for just 80 doesn't cut it. These are good, but you have be able to score the knock out when you need it.

7/10.

All the Magnezones are ok without being brilliant.

That makes building a Magnezone deck tough. You need the acceleration of Super Connectivity, the Free Retreat of the DP one, and a decent attack would help. This Magnezone has a (sort of) decent attack. Don't kid yourself that you will be doing 120 a turn with it, though, cos it is unlikely to survive that long (10 damage for every Super Connectivity, can't use Sp. Metal) and you can't exactly swarm with a 4 Energy attacker that needs Stage 2 support, especially not when you are running 2 at most in a deck.

5/10

It's somewhat good. Others are better. Charge Beam is okay considering it's an energy accelorator. You could play this with Conductive Quarry, but then again any good Magnezone deck should be run with Conductive Quarry. This one certanly isn't the best :(. 6/10
