It's a great Magnezone. Combined with the Lv. X and something like Heatran Lv. X or SF Magnezone and Conductive Quarry, it could attack for 120 or 80 and paralysis each turn. It's a great big hitter for Magnezone decks, and can take out Kingdra in one hit.

8.5/10

At the Mountain West Regionals, some players from Colorado played this deck. I think there were 4 in all, with 3 of them making top 16, and 2 of them making top 8. It played this one and the super connectivity one, it was a really good deck, as it played Blissey to heal (I guess also to discard energy) and it also played a Blaziken tech for vs. Dialga, it was a really cool deck overall

not the one to play in the deck you wold probobly play Dp and both SF and lv.X, thats the winning list, this is just kinda bad, 4 for 120 and discard? and the recovering attack is also bad just 30, using an attack to get an energy back is bad.

overall 6/10

Ugh, what the heck's with the Magnezone? Surely they can stop making multiple (and almost always inferior) versions of cards we already don't use...

And as such, you can probably guess where this review is going. 130 HP is average for a Stage 2, +30 Weakness to :fighting: is bad with Machamp being popular, -20 Resistance to :metal: isn't too useful, as only Dialga G is a commonly played :metal: (and even then, not as popular as Palkia G I think), and :colorless:colorless for a Retreat Cost is ok considering this is a Stage 2. Charge Beam is nicely priced at 30 for :lightning, and you get an Energy out of the discard and onto Magnezone. Metallic Bolt is expensive at :lightning:metal::colorless:colorless for 60, even if you opt to discard a :lightning and :metal: Energy to deal 120 damage instead (and still falls short of OHKOing most Stage 2s).

Modified - 2/10 (No reason to use this over any other Magnezone, most of which have complimentary Poke-Powers at least and can eventually meat out as much damage)
Limited - 0/10 (Promo dude)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here also, keep looking)

Just because it has a 4 energy cost doesn't mean it sucks. 2 of these + 1 super connectivity + 1 lv x and the right deck list/techs beats everything in DP-Platinum consistently. 30 + energy absorb for 1, 120 discarding 2, 130 hp, capable of utilizing special metals for damage reduction.

9/10

This works good if it is in a :metal::lightning deck because you only have to attach :lightning energy, so you can attach :lightning:metal::metal::metal: and get another :lightning and hit off with 120 once again. 8/10
