I dont like it havent played with it so, yet its first attack can be useful jsut too random for a decent accurate pokemon, howevber its a free attack so.
5/10 for average

HA HA HA

We had our friend Stephen use this at Regionals w/ 3-2-3-1 Machamp and 25 energy (and of course obvious t/s/s line).

He took out the bebe's for dusk ball along with other changes. :( Then the deck failed. With the list I had made him (before he edited it) it beat a Gengar list twice that went 5-2.

It's not that great of a card unless you have a crap-ton of energy and are good with flips. Fun card, but definitely not competitive.

Did Octazooka get an errata? If not, then this card is a little better than I thought, though a tad flippy even for my taste.

A pretty hilarious combo with Rhyperior...

7/10. It's so-so, but it could be very useful if an individual knows what they're doing. Try not to go up against the new Shiftry, though. XD

My League Organizer played it at the Masters in the UK nats and he did really well. He beat 2 Dialga, 1 Machamp and a Gengar. The deck can be incredibely quick, and is pretty consistant, albeit relying a lot on coin flips.

I'll give my octopus friend another chance, and give it a 7.5/10.

I can't see it in competitive play, but it is definitely a fun card to play with.
7/10 for all the coin flips. (I love Flips)

I use it with Kingdra. This card just got a ton better w/ RR.

8.5/10

You guys realize it IS very possible to ensure your deck is pure water later in the game, right?

Start with Remoraid... both versions have 60 HP, which is not completely safe from the first turn Sableye, but it's better than many other basics.

Moving on... The first attack can be setup with quite a few different cards to order the top of the deck to insure you flip some energy. The second attack offers limited protection from the defending Pokemon.

This card is combo sensitive to make the first attack worthwhile. The weakness is average, the HP is a tad low and the retreat cost is above average.

5.5/10

i have a deck based off him called octomon and i use delcatty which aleast gives a 50/50 chance of hitting for 100 damage another one of my super red face paint decks

Works great...........If your lucky!

My daughter and I ran with the same Octillery decks at states. Flip flop results, she was 3-2 and I went 2-3. Even with 34 energy in each deck it was still not a sure thing....top it off then you had to flip for damage. The new Flotzel Lv.X looks better.

For fun 10.0
Note: Use in a major event not advised if you want to win. :thumb:

Flotzel GL X is better in many ways. I ran one in my blastcatty and hit for at least 100 damage and sent all theenergy back to my deck for blastoise.

Boo, PT card...anyways, today's CotD is Octillery from the mentioned set. Statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, +20 Weakness to :lightning is ok for now since :lightning decks aren't much around, no Resistance, and a bit expensive :colorless:colorless to Retreat. Water Vein I think actually has a bit of potential; you reveal the top 5 cards, and for whatever ones are Energy, you deal 50x for each heads you flip, meaning you can hit up to 250 damage maximum (not likely, but still...), all for no Energy. And the best part is, the Energy (and other cards) get shuffled back into your deck instead of discarded, meaning you aren't losing anything. Combo'ed with something like Delcatty from PT, this could be a nice way to deal an (almost) consistent 100 damage every turn, all for zero Energy. Octazooka is ok, dealing 40 for :water::water: and has the chance to completely shut down your opponent's opportunity to attack. But still, Water Vein is better.

Modified - 7/10 (Flippy, but has potential if anyone can figure out how to run it properly. Even if you wiff just 1 Energy with Heads, Water Vein is a very cost-effective attack. Great fun deck if anything)
Limited - 9/10 (Since you're playing a higher than usual number of Energy, if you can get Octillery out, you can do some serious damage)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here)

It is a fun deck to play with 4-4 line and a 4-4 line of delcatty 2-2 claydol about 18 total energy 4 call 2 Health and every trainer card to thin the deck and every supporter to put energy in the discard pile - Flipping 4 or 5 coins by turn 4 or 5 is fun. My son played it at states and would have made top cuts if it were not for a few times rolling out 4 tails. If you are lucky at coin flips you can't lose.

Card is a fun card that can beat anything if luck is on your side

Fun Factor 10
Win Factor 7 - A good tier 2 deck
