This is amazing in beedrill!!!!!! i love it but only in decks like raybees and or plain speed drill. In other i don't see a use unless they r trying swarm. So i give it a 8.25/10 BY the way Second!!!!!!!!

Along with Quick Ball and Dusk Ball, Poke-Radar is a Trainer worth considering if you're trying to run a deck that utilizes the unusual Trainer engine to get you Pokemon.

Unlike Dusk Ball and Quick Ball, though, you can potentially get more than 1 Pokemon. If you have 30 or so Pokemon, there's some chance (1 or 2 in the top 5 cards) that you can get a Pokemon. That's the catch: You need to run many Pokemon in your deck to make the best use out of this card. Of course, there is still the chance that you won't get anything after using Poke-Radar (unlike Quick Ball which can almost always guarantee a Pokemon), and unlike Dusk Ball, there is cards to choose from (5 cards compared to Dusk Ball's 7). Unfortunately, there's no card to arrange your top 10 cards... And even then, it would be quite overpowered.

Modified- 5/10 (can net you more cards, but very chance-reliant. If you have the space to fill your deck with a lot of Pokemon, why don't you just use search and draw supporters and trainers instead to fill up the deck space?)
Limited- 7.5/10 (more chance to get Pokemon here as drafts usually contain only Pokemon and energy. Be sure to have a lot of Pokemon if you want to run this)

pretty good and decent lets you get alot in heavy pokemon decks but in non heavy pokemon decks its bad and you often wiff so i give it a 6/10

Unless you are running so many Pokemon that you can be pretty sure of getting at least 2 with this, then you are better off with Quick Ball.

Trouble is, if you are running THAT many Pokemon, you are probably having trouble just finding room for staple trainers in your deck.

4/10 for most decks

10/10 for those crappy decks you build when you start off that have 35 Legendaries in them.

Today's CotD is Poke Radar from LA, a nifty Trainer most useful in decks that need to get evolutions and Pokemon out ASAP. Now, looking at the top 5 cards of your deck isn't too much, but getting to nab any/all Pokemon you sniff out is pretty nice. Granted, you'd need to play a lot of Pokemon to best use this card, but it's still a cheap way of searching out Pokemon.

Modified - 8/10 (A great search card and can be subbed in case you don't have staples like Bebe's)
Limited - 10/10 (No reason not to take this, you play a lot of Pokemon here, meaning your odds of getting something are pretty good)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, better searching options)

This card can really help speed up non-SP decks. IMHO it's most useful in decks that need 2+ Pokemon to really be effective. As mentioned it works best in decks with a reasonably high Pokemon count. Overall I feel this card is under rated. It's results can be random. Sometimes you do get nothing, but I've seen it grab 4 Pokemon as well, which can totally alter the course of a game.

Play wise I tend to do one of two things with this card. If I'm NOT playing a pokemon search supporter this turn I'll do everything first, suppoter, claydol, etc... before playing the Radar. In effect I use it to "extend" whatever draw I might have gotten. However, if I'm planning to play Roseanne's or Bebe's I frequently use the Radar first. What I get back could easily influence what I search for ... this is especially true if I have Bebe's, Roseanne's, and Candy in hand.

Rating is 7.5 / 10 overall, but higher in some decks.

A great card I run it in nearly all my decks.

A must in speed decks, like beedrill, and in decks that dont run claydol, scizor/cherrim, octillery, and rayquaza C. Its a trainer so you can use it as often as you want. Not so with supporters.

The only bad thing is that it is inconsistent. You never know what you are going to get with this card. And often times you dont get anything. But if you run a speed deck or a non claydol deck, then this card is a must.

8/10

As others have said this card is best used when there is a high percentage of Pokemon in your deck.

So its best use is early in the game in a high pokemon count deck

OR

LATE in a game when your deck is depleted and you've just returned 3-5 cards using another trainer or supporter. (one of the reasons it works SO well in Beedrill!)
