This is definitely one of the best cards to have come out of Platinum. If you're playing the mirror, it's attack is like a free Celio's that can grab EXs. And Sweet Kiss is 30 for 1!! Broken!

So glad I got a playset at my Platinum pre-release in my six packs. T_T

geat card!.... for PR.
first attack is nice but there is much better attacks out.
second attack may be used to deal some early heavy damage, but it doesnt even compare to shuppet donk or sp decks out there.

BEYOND TERRIBLE / unlimited
4 / limited

2ND!!!!!!!!!

Well as usual, our special CotD for Valentine's Day is the always-appropriate Luvdisc, this one from PL. Statwise, 70 HP is nice for a Basic, +10 Weakness to :lightning: is bad (but at least not much), no Resistance is common, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Love Call is kinda eh, granted it costs no Energy, but being limited to choosing a Pokemon from your deck that is the same type as one of your opponent's Pokemon really kinda renders it useless unless you're both playing either the same type of deck or something similar... Sweet Kiss deals a nice 30 for :water:, but has the side effect of letting your opponent draw a card...which makes it very bad.

Modified - 2/10 (Well, at least it'll forever be known as that Valentine's Day Pokemon)
Limited - 7/10 (Odds are that Love Call can work more likely, but at the same time, try to stay away from using Sweet Kiss)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here)

Well, good choice for Valentines Day!:thumb:

70 HP, I think, isn't that suiting for Luvdisc; the weakness is very bad, but the retreat cost is OK.

Ehhhhh.....I don't really prefer this card personally. Well, for one, its first attack is OK for no energy you search out a Pokemon that is the same type as the Pokemon you chose. This can be done with Claydols, Uxies, Azelfs, Unown Gs, and or Chatots, but the attack may not necessarily search out your main attacker unless you were facing the mirror. Sweet Kiss, for one :water: energy, does, but then your opponent draws a card? No thank you.

Overall 2/10 in modifed

Sorry Luvdisc, your low HP and weakness ot Luxray really hurts. Luxray just laughs at this card, as well as Machamp. Then attack with free drawing for your opponent doesn't sound that cool. The only thing that "saves" this heart-shaped Pokemon potential to search out a desired Pokemon in its first attack.

Wow... This is the worst rare card in Storm Front... I was so angry when I pulled it... I refused to put it in my rare binder for 7 months... This guy sucks and is extremely situational at best... 0/10 just because every thing else in Storm Front was so good.

this card is good for looking for a fighting deck belive it or not well see about every one hase claydoll in there deck so i use his first attackto serch for a fighting pokemon.....and its good for serching for claydoll.

Is this how you show us that you love us MrMeches, by making us review such a horrible card? ;_;

Its Love Call is like Friend Ball which I don't recall people using back then much, even when it didn't end your turn.

And its second attack can donk, uh, all of those Rattata and Hoppip that have saturated this format?

The only possible use of Love Call that I can think of is searching for a Claydol/Baltoy/Uxie when your opponent has one in play. Unfortunately, there are much better starters out there.

3/10

This would have been good to use in a deck back when everyone was playing Gardevoir/Gallade or Empoleon. But today, there are so many types of Pokemon in decks that this card doesn't serve much use. Its low HP makes it vulnerable to sniping, and it can't do much damage. It's still an excellent card for Valentine's Day. 3/10
