8/10 now that pokemon communication is out

10/10 pre hg-ss. A staple probably in 99% of decks (Can't get better than that I'd say)

9/10. Not perfect, no card is. But, it's drawbacks of 1 per deck in essence + having no effect on Lv. X, is almost completely out-weighed by it's pro's of grabbing any other pokemon card and being a trainer. I use it in all my decks.

The only thing better would be a trainer or supporter, with the same playing conditions, that can grab you any one card out of your deck.

Ahhh, this is soooo great. A card that has become a staple in pretty much every deck is what I want to talk about, and now that means we rate it in all 3 categories because it is a trainer.:thumb:

So, Luxury Ball is a simple card. It lets you search your deck for a Pokemon and put it in your hand. Now, it can search usual cards like Basics and Evolutions and Legends, but it can't search Lv. Xs so be careful. Also watch out for this. If you have another Luxury Ball in the discard, then you can't use Luxury Ball. This means that you can only use one Luxury Ball per deck in order to take full use of it.

Overall 9/10 in modified, 10/10 in limited, and 2/10 in unlimited

In modified, almost every deck uses it. It is like an extra Bebe's. Now if only you could search out Lv. Xs and you could use 4 in a deck it would be given a 10/10, as well as Spiritomb locks it. But still, you gotta love the Luxury Ball.

In limited, this card can shine even more. No Spiritomb gives this card full advantage. You probably won't play Lv.Xs in your deck for limited so Luxury Ball is just rest assured, I would definelty play if you pull out in a tournament like draft.

In umlimited, it doesn't that much use, but it still could be OK for that kind of format.

9/10 in modified!
the card will basically help you get any pokemon you want, besides level x's.
10/10 if it didnt have that level x limit, and if you can have more in your deck xD

Today's CotD is Luxury Ball, one of my favorite Trainers for sure. Being able to grab any non-Lv X Pokemon from your deck is a very valuable ability, just a shame you can't play anymore if you already have one in your discard, thus limiting this to basically a 1 card tech. Still, when you draw it, it's full of win.

Modified - 10/10 (No reason not to use at least 1 of these in any deck)
Limited - 10/10 (Being able to search out needed evolutions or basics is very valuable here)
Unlimited -10/10 (Hell, even here it's a powerful card I'd think, though still limited to basically 1 per deck)

I pulled one of these in the first booster I bought following my eight year hiatus from this tcg.

Being able to find use for two of these is one of my favorite things about Kingdra.

10

Staple. 10/10. I even run 2 in some decks... I can always find a way to discard the second. This card is THAT good.

I love this card, as it can always get you a free Pokemo when you need it. Some decks that discard cards, like Gyarados, can even run two in order to burn the 2nd. 10/10
