Well, it does do 120 damage which is very nice. Too bad we are losing Heatran Lv.X, so he can't recycle those lost energy. Yea, we have Typlosion prime, but fire is just tricky to play. Oh hey, I'm first.

5/10 modified
9/10 limited(the damage alone makes it amazing)

(2nd)

A 130 HP stage 2 that can do 120 for 3 energy while discarding 2. Typhlosion prime can get back fire energys from the discard pile though. And with belt It would become a 150 HP stage 2 that can hit for 140 while discarding two. I don't think that's to bad. Oh and don't forget the retreat cost. It's one. Not to expensive.

7/10 modified
9/10 limited
2/10 unlimited

10/10 cuz Ill beat you with a memoryberry, other than that its actually pretty good, especially in a format or 2

3 for 120 is really powerful. 120 is enough to knock out a lot of stuff, in addition to every single Pokemon SP out there. Discarding the energy can be a pain, though. 2 for 50 is solid without any drawbacks. 130 HP is pretty good. A Retreat Cost of 2 could be better. Water Weakness is really bad; Gyarados will run straight through Typhlosion. 6/10

nah

not that great of a card IMO so yes 120 is nice but you have to discard energy yes i know of typhloshin prime but i still dont think its that great so i give it a 4/10

not a bad card if you are lucky enough to have two typhlosion primes on your bench you could hit 120 for quite a long time retreat for 1 is good 2 for 50 is alright overall 6/10 oh and i know not to important but the artwork looks cool too :D

We are still on the decent era as it seems. =/

130 HP is good for a stage 2, but the weakness really hurts because of Gyarados, yet the retreat cost is OK.

Well, not much to say here because this card is pretty simple. For two energies, it does 50 damage. For three energies, it can do 120 damage, but then you need to discard two energies on Typhlosion. This may be a bit bad, but with Typhlosion Prime, you don't need to worry.

Overall 4/10 in modified

Well, this card is yet another decent card. It can potentially do lots of damage compared to the other Typhlosions. Play this Typhlosion with at least two Typhlosion Primes and you may potentially be doing 120 almost every turn. The reason this card isn't used a lot is because of the fact it takes time to set it up, and Gyarados just laughs at it.

Today's CotD is Typhlosion from GS...well, at least it's not a repeat card. Statwise, 130 HP is average for a Stage 2, x2 Weakness to :water: can be problematic, no Resistance is common, and :water: to Retreat is cheap. Magma Punch deals an overpriced 50 for :fire::colorless:, and Fire Spin is priced ok at :fire::fire::colorless: for 120, BUT you have to discard 2 Energy off Typhlosion, which ultimately makes it bad unless you run some sort of support to get those Energy back.

Modified - 4/10 (Eh...well...yeah, eh. Use the Prime)
Limited - 7/10 (A solid Stage 2 if you can get him out)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here)

Once again, a card that isn't good in the format. You guys wait until rotation, I swear POP is just going to pull an epic troll and get rid of everything up to HGSS  Oh right, Typhlosion......... meh, Gyarados and the oft-forgot Kingdra simply make this unplayable in the current format

5/10, decent damage, just not worth it

This card is simple, but somewhat effective, when combined with some extra support like Typhlosion Prime or Expert Belt. Granted, almost everything works better with Expert Belt.

I don't think that Magma Punch is over-priced. It may be in today's environment, but once the Platinum sets rotate out, it seems the damage-Energy ratios are going to take a dip.

I love how Fire Spin does 120 damage instead of the usual 100 but I prefer the Prime over this one because it's more useful. 2 for 50 is pretty darn good though. Look out for Feraligatr, Gyarados and Kingdra when playing this guy in a deck though. 130 HP is very nice and 1 to retreat is nice and cheap. But once again, the Prime is better. The Prime plays a pretty important role in the most killer fire deck that is Charizard in helping you charge up Charizard fast with the help of the other Pokemon that play a pretty important role in drawing speed. You know that card as Ninetails. Having a flat fire deck with Charizard allows you to hit for 150 with only 1 energy to discard and that's it! Then use Typhlosion Prime's Afterburn to reattach that energy and attach 2 energies per turn instead of just one! This card is still great though but they coulda given it some synergy with the Prime like Ampharos does.

Overall 8/10.

Great card makes for some very fats games with heatran x and a belt. BTW how are we losing heatran? Is platinum suddenly being rotated?

Heatran Lv.X came out with Stormfront.

He's right. And all DP sets are being phased. So that means no more Claydol, no more Gyrados doing 90 for 3 Magikarp in your discard pile, no more Machamp, no more Fainting Spell Gengar, etc. The only LV. Xs will be Dialga G, Drapion, Giratina, Palkia G, Shaymin Ground Forme, Shaymin Sky Forme, Alakazam 4, Floatzel GL, Flygon, Gallade 4, Hippowdon, Infernape 4, Luxray GL, Mismagius GL, Snorlax, Absol G, Blaziken FB, Charizard G, Electivire FB, Garchomp C, Reyquaza C, Staraptor FB, Omniscent Arceus, Meteor Blast Arceus, Psychic Bolt Arceus, Gengar, Salamence and Tangrowth. Which is actually still pretty good because there's still gonna be 28 LV. Xs.

But some of the popular ones will be gone like Gardevoir LV. X, Machamp LV. X and Mewtwo LV. X. But we don't have to worry about that until August.

5/10
Has potential to be used but not at high competitive levels and Can be a Good Space taker in a Typlosion deck or make a Great Low playing deck, but will not hold up to many other decks
