This is a bad card. For many reasons
1) stage 2 = slow
2) 3 for 60 and a flip... not so great and yes i know all about DCE
3) weakness to lightning is BAD luxray finds its way into everything
4) fat 3 retreat cost
5) no resistance

But the attack could be good if you flip just right dpending on what you want to happen and poliwag has call for family?? haha thats about all the good things

nice card
it can spread but nidoqueen stops it
2nd attack is great if you can get heads but so is gengar sf
i like this card and maybe it will be better in other formats
5/10

2ND

And so for my 300th post, I will review a Poliwrath card from UL.

130 HP is considerably good for a stage 2. Lightning weakness is very bad right now since Luxray GL is literally the most popular attacker in this format, and the retreat cost is heavy.

Poliwrath's first attack for two energies can hit for 40 and 20 to one of the opponent's bench. This isn't too bad, especially on how it could hit harder with an Expert Belt, and then snipe. The second attack is pretty much like Machamp DP's attack. It can hit for 60 for three, but if you can get a coin flip of heads, you can hit for 100 and cause confusion. That is definitely not too bad, especially since it can hit more than Machamp DP.

Overall 4/10 in modified, 8/10 in limited, and 3/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card is pretty decent. It has the ability to hit pretty hard, cause confusion, and cause some confusion. It also has some nice HP too. With Expert Belt and DCE, it's definitely not too bad, but the real main problem with it is the weakness to Luxray, a rather high retreat cost, and many cards can potentially out-speed it right now, so this card really can not shine that much right now.

In limited, this card has some better uses. High HP and good attacks make it a force to be reckoned with, especially when it can hit for 100 and cause confusion. Of course, remember to watch out for lightning Pokemon here too, as well as the fact Poliwrath has a high retreat cost.

In unlimited, this card is decent I guess. It has the same potential as it does in the other formats, but now you have to deal with other big lightning attackers, so it may not be the best here sadly.

I like this card as a complement to the LA one in an Enthusiasm-based deck. This one can attack without any repercussions, even if it doesn't do as much damage as the LA version.. Unfortunately, the double Weakness to Lightning just makes it crash hard with every deck and its mom running Luxray GL, and this would break down the whole deck.

The first thing that I see when I look at this card is Lightning Weakness, which is very bad in this format. 130 HP is nice, 2 for 40 and 20 can rack up after a few attacks, and Dynamic Punch starts out as a nice 60 but can suddenly become 100 with confusion. The flip is bad, but the effects are good. However, this card can't survive in this format because of Lightning Weakness the Luxray GL Lv. X. 4/10

 Poliwrath LA is way better! Anyways. It could always fit into your Rain Dance decks. This is pretty nice with Spiritomb LA and such. Lightning weakness hurts, but it shouldn't mean it's automatically unplayable! Bubble Coat? Exploud SV? If you liked Arcanine G, this is your pokemon! Dynamic Puch is great if you get heads, but relying on coin flips are bad, unless it's Ampharos Prime.

Limited 6/10 Strong Attacker

Modified 6/10 Luxray hurts, but it has a lot more support in modified

Unlimited 4/10 I wouldn't want to run this at my league. Too flippy for me.

Today's CotD is Poliwrath from UL, a passable enough league deck if you like Poliwrath. Statwise, 130 HP is average for a Stage 2, x2 Weakness to :lightning: hurts, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless::colorless: to Retreat is pricey. Steamroll is ok at :water::colorless: for 40 and 20 to one of your opponent's benched. Dynamic Punch is also ok at :water::colorless::colorless: for 60 and if you flip Heads, an additional 40 and confusion. Overall, it's an average card at best, just lacks that certain oomph factor that would let it rise into higher competitive play.

Modified - 5/10 (Not bad, almost borderline competitive)
Limited - 7/10 (Only flaw really is that it's a Stage 2)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, as ER and SER make Dynamic Punch hard to even use, not to mention the usual better Pokemon lying about)

Bad Weakness, right now.... mediocre card.
but I do notice the Power Creep over Machamp DP's Dynamic Punch (Double Colorless-able? Extra Ten Damage?)

Lightning weakness, 3 retreat, stage 2, yuck. First attack is okay, but it'd be a lot better if it was just :water:. The second attack is really good if you're lucky, but with the flip it stinks.

Modified: 1/10 Just like everything else in Unleashed.
Limited: 1/10 Stage 2's are bad in limited.
Unlimited: 1/10 Do I need explanation?
