2010-6-2 Pokemon Circulator UL 81/95

This gets better when your opponent has fewer benched pokemon, specially times when 2 Claydols are benched and nothing else :p

I've got mixed feelings about this card, almost ineffectual against SP since they can just poketurn anything they don't want active i.e. Skuntank and Bronzong, but very good against decks that will rely on their bench set ups, like Claydols, Nidoqueens, Uxies, Manectrics and other non tier 1 techs you will see in your friendly matches, not a great card, but it's really good, like 7-8 out of 10 imo

Today's CotD is Pokemon Circulator, an interesting alternative to both Pokemon Reversal and Warp Point. Now, it's a tad weaker than Pokemon Reversal in that your opponent gets to choose what Pokemon to switch with on their bench, but it's more powerful in the fact it doesn't require a flip. Sort of the same deal with Warp Point; you may not want to switch your Pokemon out when you play it, and this still forces your opponent to carry out with one. Just really depends on what your deck needs; some can use it (as this becomes particularly valuable if your opponent has just 1 Pokemon on their bench you want to force up), while others want the flexibility of Warp Point or the surefire switch of their choice if they can flip Head with Reversal.

Modified - 7/10 (An interesting card that is sure to see some play)
Limited - 10/10 (Why not take it, it's not like there's much else you're using)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Outclassed by Gust of Wind, so unless you really need more forced switching...)

This cards value dramatically increases when you count the next format where there's a 99.99% chance that warp point will not exist. Though it's possible, I also doubt they'll be reprinting warp point especially anytime soon since they haven't done it already.

Back on topic, this is a pretty nice toss up vs Reversal. Both switch out ur opponent, but this one isn't reliant on a coin flip though doesn't allow you to choose the Pokemon ur opponent puts up for an active.

Still, I give it an 8/10 for it's disruption capabilities and heavy potential in the upcoming season.

it's like a cyclone energy that can be blocked by Spiritomb :(

on the flip side,

It's like a cyclone energy that does NOT mess up your energy attachments!

I think this card is needed. There are so many time where you CANNOT warp point because you need your active to stay active and there's no free retreat poke on your bench. I remember I used to "warp point" and then "switch" to creat this effect. :/

5/10 because it's so situational and not splashable in most decks.

R_A for Prime Minister!

In this format, I don't see much of a use for it, especially with so many ways of choosing what your opponent switches in (Luxray GL, Reversal, Trapinch SW, Blaziken FB); however, I can see this being useful in Pluff to avoid getting behind in KOs if and when Luxray GL is gone (if the Active is just out of reach).

Right now, it seems pretty useless, but it has future potential.

3.5/10

Well, time to look at the not so best trainer card: Pokemon Circulator.

Basically, the card is self explanatory. When played, your opponent switches the defending Pokemon with one of his or her bench Pokemon. Yeah, simply, it is like Cyclone Energy, only it takes the form of a trainer.

Overall 3/10 in modified, 10/10 in limited, and 3/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card really doesn't have much potential. It gets trainer locked by Spiritomb. That's really one main reason, yet it is also because cards like Warp Point and Luxray GL outclass it. Thus, Cyclone Energy is more preferred for now. It won't be until next year where this card will be much better with the absence of Warp Point.

In limited, this pretty much comes close enough to being the only switching card in UL, so it can be quite helpful in several situations if you ask me.

In unlimited, well, maybe it could do good when you think about it, but Gust of Wind, and other switch cards will outclass it.

It's a pretty good card if used at the right time. It's not the best card, but i wouldn't be suprized seeing it in a couple of good decks.

5.5/10

7/10 it's an ok card, good it you don't want to use warp point, however is terrible against Donphan + 4 Swoitch decks

As long a Warp Point is still able to be played, this won't see that much. Next format, I expect to see quite a few of these.

4/10

I think Pokemon Circulator is too situational to be good. Warp Point is good because you can switch your active as well as having the potential for a cheap prize. But this gets blocked by Spritomb, and your opponent gets to choose, so I don't see much use for it now. Next format might be different if we don't get Warp Point reprinted, but for now I'm giving this a 5/10 because it can get you a cheap prize in some cases.

7/10 it's an ok card, good it you don't want to sue warp point, however is terrible against Donphan + 4 Swoitch decks
I'm sure that's an honest typo, but it still made me laugh.

This card is easily outclassed by cards that do this more easily/better. Pokemon Reversal comes to mind, but needing a coin flip makes it pretty evenif you ask me. Warp point is much better though. It still not that bad. Not everyone can get warp points,so this is pretty intersesting.

Limited 8/10 Cause it can drag up bench pokemon.
Modified 5/10 Could see play,but I don't think that's likely,not a terrible card though
Unlimited 6/10 Most people in my area run Warp Points and have them

Pokemon Collector is today's CotD. Being a trainer, you can use this and other trainers the same turn. This card switches your opponents Active with one of their benches - like a switch for your opponent. IMO it stinks this format, but when DP is rotated it will see more play.

Modifed (now): 4/10
Modifed (later): 7/10
Limited: 9/10
Unlimited: 1/10
