Underrated considering everybody thinks it is bad. It isn't great, but it is really annoying if you get heads.
6/10

I personally dont like it. Some worship it as the beast healing card next to Garchomp C Lv.X.

5/10 because its too flippy.

5/10 like the probability of this card working. Game changing when it works, but makes you want to cry when it doesnt.

Hmm...why does this card look familiar...OH YEAH, we REVIEWED it already on 4-8!:tongue::rolleyes:

http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=123279

So I'll save myself the trouble of having to write something new and quote myself here (with a few additional comments in bold), as nothing's changed in 2 months for a general waste of cardboard like Life Herb:

Anyways, today's CotD is Life Herb...wow, this thing is as worthless as that Azumarill [reference to CotD 4-6] we reviewed the other day. Being flippy of course immediately makes it fall into the "bad" category, with a 50/50 chance of healing 6 damage off a Pokemon...besides, no one uses healing cards anyways.

Modified - 1/10 (Only newbies use this, and only until they learn it's bad, which usually doesn't take long)
Limited - 10/10 (Yes, even a 50/50 chance at healing 6 is better than nothing, plus it's a Trainer)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here as no one bothers with healing for starters, let alone flippy ones)

My opponents only flip heads on this, and when I do play it (at Pre-releases ONLY) I always flip tails. This is a terrible card - please get it out of the format ASAP.

Modified: 2/10 (got +1 b/c some people are good at flipping heads)
Pre-releases: 3/10 (1/10 with my luck though)

It's too experimental to be introduced to the pharmaceutical industry, too.

IRL: 1/10

Ah well, it's good to review Life Herb once again.

Basically, it is a healing card that is flippy. You flip a coin, and if you get heads, you remove 6 damage counters and all special conditions from one of your Pokemon. Well, certainly, it can potentially heal off a lot of damage counters from a Pokemon, and the removal special conditions helps against decks like Glistomb.

Overall 4/10 in modified, 10/10 in limited, and 3/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card does have some fairly nice uses. After all, I find it a decent healer, especially how you get to remove 6 damage counters. The only major problem is its flippiness, which it is sadly the reason why so many other healing cards outclass it.

In limited, this card can be an outstanding healing card. Yes it is flippy, but recovery plays a nice role in a limited format. If you pull this card out, I definitely recommend using it here.

In unlimited, this card has some uses for healing, but now, the flippiness makes it really outclassed by other good healing cards, so this card isn't as effective as it is with modified or limited.

I just can't deck this card :/

When staring at this card, it's usually being considered for a Stage 2 deck that I'm working on at the time.

My decision always comes down to SuperScoopUp, PokeHealer, or NidoQueen.

NidoQueen is a game-long heal
PokeHealers is an autoheal
SSU can be used in MULTIPLE situations: Bench reduction, re-use of play-from-hand powers, healing.
LifeHerb - keeping the tank in play with all energies attached. (flip, not automatic)

With a big risk of depending on a game-changing FLIP, I just keep going back to SSU due to it's flexibility. I love the premise of removing 6 and special conditions (THAT'S GAMECHANGING!!), but SSU is just SO GOOD because it gives you a plethora of options.

If I actually decked it, it would be an amazing card :/ but it's just a waste of space when I flip tails :/

By itself = 4/10 because it's ONLY function is to heal 6 (which , in this format, may not be enough)
WITH GoodRod combo'd to give me second chance flips , 5/10 (because I'd need to free up so many spots)
With Marleys AND SSU in same deck = 7/10 because I've seen it and it freakin' TANKS!!!

Me and flippy cards generally don't get along. So I don't rate Life Herb very high.
3/10.

I prefer Poke Healer+
- with just one I can remove 1 damage counter and 1 condition (that's usually why I play the card).
- with 2 I can remove 8 damage counters! and all special conditions.

Add Poke Healer+ to a Snorlax LvX or a Regi LvX to create a lot of auto-heal / auto-recover. (Throw in Blissey as well). :D

I'm just gonna give my unlimited rating first.

10/10 because it's better than the million (5 actually) potions i have.

Life Herb is a nice card that fits into anything except Vileplume UD. Requiring a flip is not a good thing. Many people would just say: "too flippy 1/10". It's the same "philosophy" my friends made up (or took from someone else i don't know) It's one less card in the hand and one more card to draw from Uxie or Claydol.

Modified 5/10 A lot of other options, but more spontaneous healing then other cards. Poke Healer needs both to be really effective. SSU is also flippy and isn't always used to heal. Nidoqueen is quite slow. Among others.

Limited 10/10 ACHOO* Steelix Prime ACHOO*

I try to avoid cards with coin flips. The point of this card is really "can I afford to take the risk of putting this card in my deck" based on the probability of whether it works or not. If this card was in a deck they'd have to run 4 just to likely assume that 2 of the 4 would work. With cards such as poke'healer + out there, this card is really obsolete. If you're going to run 4, and assume 2 work, poke'healer is much better at it. As far a modified goes, I'd give it a 6/10 just because when played against me, the other player almost always gets heads and it's very annoying :p

In the few decks that need heal in this format (Steelix and...?), there are better options.

Modified: 1/5
Limited: 3.5/5
