Okay to start off with it's kind of a stinky card overall but it would be fun in league play/casual play. The first attack is a pure stall attack so that's kind of pointless. The :metal: energies kind of help it becase of it's 90 hp which means that it can't be one shotted by a garchomp or luxray lv x. Essentially this card kind of works like the sneasel beatup without the flipping and it damages itself too. So it can end up doing a total of 180 damage but with so many cards out there now that spread around damage 30 damage to your own Pokemon goes a long way. It's not my type of card I'd rather run Gyrados and discard my Magikarp instead of doing damage to my own Pokemon.

Casual/League Play 6.5/10

Tournament Play 4/10

Unlimited 1/10

SP. Metal can stop the effect.. So You take no damage. Health is really low, and it can do a max of 120 damage for 3 energy which isnt TERRIBLE. But in competitive play? It deserves a 4/10

Mirror Shot can help if you're in a pinch. 2nd attack maxes out at 150. 180 in unlimited. Although, the retreat cost is really high for a stage 1, but the HP is decent.

Incorrect. With Garchomp Lv. X's Restore attack, you could have a field full of Pinecos and Forretress, making 180 damage possible in Modified.

Nevertheless, this Forretress is gonna make you sweat,
baby.

10/10

yes!!!!! i love you mr. meches for making this the card of the day, i don't have as much good to say as poinko but i will say that i thoroughly love this card! from the art, the first and second attack, terrible retreat? what is this, the VG? no one will ever wanna retreat this guy! energy exchanger and manetric PL for the win anyone?

don't wanna give everyone too much of a good thing so i'll end it with a rating of 205,311,277.3/10 :)

Well, actually, you can only have 6 Pokemon. So Chomp Lvx + 5 Either Pineco or Forretress. 5 x 30 = 150. Now, if the KO Chomp and you have 2 Restored Tress, then you can drop a Pineco allowing for the 180. So Possible yes!

It's a fun card, that's for sure! Mirror Shot is your standard Smokescreen attack, and has a reasonable cost. Everyone Explode Now is a funny attack name, but it can be pretty effective. Combine it with Vespiquen and a bench full of Pineco, which will protect them all! If you use Expert Belt, Special Metal Energy, and Nidoqueen (yes, I know that's impractical since you then have a full Bench), it could do up to 140 damage for zero drawback.

It's a fun idea, but requires too much effort to make it work well, in my opinion.

Then again, it's funny how you can damp the explosions on your Bench but still damage the opponent.

The first attack is a smoke-screen type of attack, which does decent damage. This attack was good at pre-releases because it allowed for a stall and to build up other pokemon.
The second attack can be used T2 with DCE, but it is not very good. Unless there is a lot of set-up, there can only be a total of 4 pineco and forretress in play, so that is 120 damage for 3 energy, with a drawback of damaging all pineco and forretress for 30. It requires bench protection, like Manectric, or healing, like Nidoqueen to work around the drawback, and it could also use Garchomp lvX( not the SP) to restore the Forretress in order to fill the bench even more. However, This attack is not worth it, the first attack is better.
This card is bad in modified but it is alright for limited format, since the first attack s helpful and stalls.

Still playing catchup... now we have Forretress from UD, another kinda meh card, but he could be fun in ways. Statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to :fire: is eh, -20 Resistance to :psychic: is nice, and :colorless::colorless::colorless: to Retreat is pricey. Mirror Shot, eh it's there at :metal::colorless: for 30 and a 50/50 chance for the Defending Pokemon's next attack to fail. Worth using for stalling till you get the extra Energy needed for Everyone Explode Now, a kind of funky attack dealing 30x the number of Pineco and Forretress you have in play (maxing at a theoretical 240 if you could somehow revive 4 of the members with Garchomp Lv X...ok that ain't happening, so 120 is the likely max you'll ever see), but it also deals 30 damage to all of your Pineco and Forretress in play as well, which leaves either open to a quick KO from snipe. So yeah, could make for a fun deck (as it's not too hard to swarm with a Stage 1), but outside of that, it sorta dies off.

Modified - 5/10 (A fun deck mainly due to that great name, otherwise it won't be doing much at higher levels of play)
Limited - 6/10 (Ok to use if you're hurting for a Stage 1 and you happen to run some :metal: and have Pineco...otherwise, I'd avoid it)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here, Everyone Explode Now really leaves you weakened and easy for KOs)

Now that's......quite a Forretress. Its first attack, 30 for two, can do 30, but when the defending Pokemon attack's during your opponent's next turn, you opponent has to flip a coin, but if he or she gets tails, the attack does nothing. The second attack, 30 for three (two with a DCE), can do 30 times the number of Pinecos and Forretresses you have out. Then, however, you do 30 damage to each of your Pineco. Well, it certainly has some decent attacks that's for sure.

90 HP is nice for a stage 1. Fire weakness is good, the psychic resistance is good, and the retreat cost is average.

Overall 5/10 in modified, and 6/10 in limited, and 3/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card is fairly decent. It can cause some nuisance upon the opponent thanks to its first attack. The second attack has quite some nice attacking potential, and it might be doing 120 if you can get the needed Pokemon out. The only problem I see with this card, though, is that 30 damage backlash, so it might become easy to KO. Still, it happens to be a decent and fun attacker for modified.

In limited, this card is slightly better. Its attacks are something you really shouldn't be underestimating, as both have some nice potential. Once again, the only problem is the 30 damage backlash, but it can a decent option for any :metal: deck here though.

In unlimited, this card is slightly below average. Again, it has the same attacking potential like modified and limited, but you might need to watch for the 30 damage backlash too, because now, some attackers can easily take it down, so be careful with this card.
