Not a fan of this card. yeah, his power is great, but you can only use it once and hope it doesn't get sprayed....I'm out...

4/10

The disruption that Claw Snag provides gives a good opportunity to get rid of a key card from your opponent's hand, even if it is susceptible to Power Spray. Either way, you get to sluff a card from their hand, but in that case, it's the opponent's choice of a specific card.

Feint Attack is nothing special, since 30-snipe doesn't go very far in today's environment. Better to run this card with Memory Berry in order to get Beat Up going, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, its HP is relatively low for a Stage 1 card, so it might not last very long.

I love this card because I can memory berry and use sneasel's beat up attack. But 80HP with 2x weakness means he is as fragile as a piece of paper. So many things will just one-shot him. I wish he was 100HP.

Power is nice. You can use it, SSU, BTS, use it, etc...

The attack isn't great, though. But Memory-Berry plus this guy is decent.

1HKO by ERL, a popular tech, easily powersprayed... And if they play Cursegar and switch to Spiritomb, they cant SSU them up. xD

So, 5/10

Not top tier but a fun card. Next set could fix the power spray problem if you hide behind spirtomb and use the power. Or even use him with vileplum but then you lose SSU. Beat up is a great attack as well, this card has potential but not as the decks main attacker, he is going to have to find a partner to sucessful

I <3 this card. It is amazing in Sablelock if you have the room for it. And with hunter coming out, it will be even more of a threat.

8/10

Ahhhh, a good card for once!

80 HP is average for a stage 1. The fighting weakness hurts, the psychic resistance is OK, and the free retreat is quite a plus.

I remember hearing about the Chicago, IL, UD Prerelease, and something seemed to be a bit odd about it. What is it? Well, many were hunting for this Weavile that very day, and now we will see why. The Poke-power is the primary reason why Weavile is actually useful. When you play Weavile down, you can look at your opponent's hand, and you can discard from your opponent's hand. The fact you can look and discard creates some very nice hand disruption that can certainly mess up your opponent's strategy if you manage to discard their key card this way. As an attacker, it seems to be a fine sniper. It can do 30 to any Pokemon your opponent has out, so it seems like this attack is good for KOing low HP Pokemon. Indeed, Weavile is certainly a nice card with its great hand disruption and a fine attack.

Overall 7/10 in modified, 10/10 in limited, and 6/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card can actually be pretty good. Weavile definitely has a very good Poke-power that can be extremely disruptive if played right. The power can even be a good partner with Cyrus's Initiative since Cyrus will help add to the hand disruption along with Weavile. This can mean that Weavile can a good partner with Sablelock, where it acts as a good early game disruptioner. As an attacker, it is fine with the 30 sniping ability. The problems with this card do include the fact it can easily be sniped by Garchomp C, and power lock can annoy it; yet, I can see Weavile as a great option for today's metagame.

In limited, this card is extremely good. With the lack of power lock and no Garchomp C, Weavile UD can be a pretty dangerous. It can get rid of a key card of your's in a format like this, and this can overall mean that Weavile might win you games thanks to that Poke-power. It could do a decent job sniping too, considering the fact that many Pokemon in UD have low HP. Indeed, Weavile can be a pretty good card for almost any deck here.

In unlimited, this card is relatively fine. Now, Weavile has to deal with the fact that there are better ways to disrupt here, so Weavile seems a bit inferior. Still, the power can make a good card, and with lots of low HP in unlimited, Weavile just shows that it is definitely not useless, even in an unlimited format.

I was going to use the Power to get rid of a Power Spray, but they used a Spray and stopped me.
