I see the points.. I just recognize how past seasons have gone and how important straight draw is over shuffle draw. Claydol, Uxie, Magnezone... all straight draw. Steven's Advice, TV Reporter, Visit.. straight draw has always been more effective than shuffle. With Judge being so prevalent and N coming soon.. Bianca will be stronger than many expect.

Claydol: Get rid of 1-2 "bad" cards in hand to draw. Better yet, they aren't lost, just at the bottom of the deck, where you won't redraw them.
Uxie: A Poke-Power, not your Supporter for the turn. Seven, not six.
Magnezone: See the first above. Tends to combo well with shuffle-draw or discards to get rid of unwanted cards to draw more.

Steven's Advice: Usable when you had up to six cards in hand (including Steven's), and it got you up to six ADDITIONAL cards.
TV Reporter: Draw three, discard a thing you don't want. (Now outclassed by Cheren in Unlimited unless you want something in the discard.)
Visit: Straight draw, but nothing prevented you from drawing cards.

Same as PONT, Bianca helps you getting a good hand. The difference between them is that PONT refreshes your hand. That means you not only get a bunch of new cards, you lose your useless stuff. With Bianca you draw some cards, but if you have 4 or 5 useless cards on your hand that´s nothing. ATM PONT is the better choice, but in the future, Bianca might become a staple.

8/10 Very good card, but in some situations it is nearly useless.

I'm ba-aack (I know nobody knows me, but I've been gone for what.... 3 months?)!
Anyway, today's COTD is Bianca (Emerging Powers, #90/98), a Trainer-Supporter. Its effect reads simply, "Draw cards until you have 6 cards in your hand". It's basically a run-down version of Claydol (Great Encounters, 15/106). However, with Claydol no longer modified-legal, Bianca is sort of an alternative. However, it's a Supporter, being another weakness. It's not exactly the best card, but it's not unplayable, and provides some pretty good draw power.

Modified: 6/10- Pretty good, but nothing really special.
Unlimited: 1/10- Claydol destroys this.

I like this card. My old playstyle in the last format focused heavily on burning through the cards in my hand as fast as possible and spamming Uxie to refresh. (No, I didn't play a donk deck.)

My new playstyle is not that different, only difference is that I sometimes end up with 1-2 good cards in my hand and nothing else. If they come up with some nice way to recycle supporters, I'll be using this card.

I find it hard to rate because different decks need different types of Supporters. No, I cannot see this card in decks that already have draw power with Magnezone or Ninetales. I could see it very nicely with Junk Arm-heavy decks, though.

The question in my mind is, I played 2 PONT and 2 Juniper. I have to test which to replace with Bianca, if any. The PONT was good to shuffle away and draw a fresh hand, half the time to get in the neighborhood of matching the opponent's hand size. But Juniper let me reach deep into my deck at the expense of discarding a card or two I might want later. Right now, I'm feeling that Bianca would be less effective than either one for my deck.

I suppose it's my playstyle that makes this card APPEAR to be so good to me... lol

I just don't build decks with a scheme to discard/reshuffle draw much. Often times, I'll have Juniper or PONT and think... I HOPE I get these cards back somehow and fast!

Time will tell. My knee jerk reaction is that I'll love Bianca because it's a fit for how I think.

(and if I continue to love it while everyone hates it, I'll be trading some PONTs for it ... win-win situation much? ) :)

this card is iffy it can work or it can sqrew you over say you have more than 6 cards in your hand then you dead at least pont allowed you to get a new hand of 6
so my ratings
modified 7
unlimited 3
limited 8

Imma play it safe and give it 5/10: half love, half hate. Not exactly PONT's replacement, but it is golden in the right deck.

Pooka hit the nail on the head. This is a card that is stellar for limited formats (which unfortunately have very little support). However, it's very situational draw in that the returns are limited by hand size. Volkner's saw little play outside of Gyarados to my knowledge. I see no reason for Bianca to exceed such ubiquity.

This Card Is Like Professor Juniper but with 6 cards insted of 7
It would be when HGSS+BW leave play pokemon sets
And I Also Like Bianca so
8/10

i think the deck and playstyle depend alot on how usable this card is

personally in playtesting, i usually have little trouble getting my hand low enough to get 3 or more from this card
PONT is almost always better though, but bianca is still solid and can be there when 4 PONTs isnt enough

8/10

I have 0, 1 or 2 cards in hand : I play PONT or Juniper.
I have 3 or more cards in hand : I play PONT or Cheren.

Unfortunately Bianca isn't going to be good in this format.

PONT outclasses this.

If you have cards in your hand that you need and you PONT you should really have ways of easily getting them again anyway with your 6 cards as well as having other cards, besides most cards are run in multiples to drawing into them again is not hard.

The only cards you'd really want to be keeping are trainers and pokemon, if I shuffle in a trainer I can either draw into it again with that PONT or have 1 in the discard already to reuse with Junk Arm and if I shuffle in a pokemon I can draw into that again with that PONT or search it with Dual Ball / Pokemon Communication right away or Pokemon Collector next turn depending if it was an evolution or a basic, this works really well and is not hard to accomplish.

All decks should be able to search what they need instead of drawing stuff bit by bit and holding on to them until they have everything they need, this way is just slow.

And then when the other cards in your hand are bad PONT is the only option since Bianca makes you keep them.

In my opinion this isn't worth running at all 0/10.
