First!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thas the first time ive EVER been FIRST!!!!!!

The PokePower, Judge's predecessor, forces both people to shuffle their hands and draw up to 4 cards.
attack is ehhh
weakness is ehhhh
Resistance is good
Retreat is bad.

6/10 (judge outclasses it rly)

Wow Redados1's great review is a pretty hard one to follow up to but here goes.

I really like this card, it's a searchable Judge great in many disruption decks. Although the retreat cost of 3 is really lame, most decks that play this either want him on the bench or for him to only be active to level him up. Additionally, most disruption decks playing this card probably have some copies of Warp Energy or Warp Point anyway. On the subject of levelling him up, his Lv X card is equally as scrumptious in disruption decks with it's Invisible Tentacles Poke-body. The downside to this badboy is that SP ruins the two best aspects about it, Power Spray can stop Let Loose and Dialga G LvX can stop his Lv X from having fun too. Earth Power could have more potential if it were [P][C][C] but having to make 3 energy attachments for 60 and a flip for doing 10/20 damage to the opponents bench doesn't cut the mustard in such a fast format. Like the other Giratina's in Platinum this guy has some pretty sweet artwork. Maybe with DCL from Triumphant and some of the energy acceleration available to psychic types this guy could get put to some real good use but that remains to be seen and so he's stuck at "searchable Judge", not that that's a particularly bad thing.

Ok, so 100 HP is great on a basic
The x2 to dark isn't great, but there are worse things in the format to be weak to.
Resistance is always nice.
But retreat is pretty heavy
The pokepower is almost if not the word for word text of judge is pretty good as it does not take up your supporter for the turn and can increase disruption in a deck. However, if can also be powersprayed, leaving a pokemon with a heavy retreat and high attack cost (for an only pretty mediocre attack) stuck on the bench only to be dragged out by Luxray and have Garchomp snipe around it.

Pokepower is good, everything else is trash.

Bright Look really hurts this, you could start with it, and Power Spray hurts it. Without those problems, I think it would be played a lot more, 6.5/10.

Ahh Giratina...

First Off I've used this majorly twice:

When Platinum first cam out, THIS was the Giratina I focused on using. 100 HP meant I wasn't getting donked, and the power kept the disruption up so I could easily power up and start hitting before my opponent. Earth power is pretty sick, doing 60 to the active with possible spread damage which does pair pretty well with the X. Sure, BSB Tina is pry superior now with Ex Belt and such, but this Tina still rocks for solo.

My second use for this? It's probably oneof the best disruption tech in the format, and that's why it made my gigas list last year. Teching this is a slight hazard with bright look, but in Gigas it's not that big a deal ;3

8/10 at least

I absolutely LOATHE this card.
Nationals, T16, I have a god hand, my opponent an Unown Q start...he topdecks Giratina, I get the worst hand imagineable and he gets a god hand and proceeds to knock me out of tops.
It is a good card. The attack isn't great, his HP is very good, retreat is trash (you dont want him active), but that power...ugh, its good, but I still loathe it.
I rate it 6.5/10. The power is good, but bench space is highly valuable and his retreat cost is painful.

HP is exceptional not only because its a basic, but because he's its a tech card. Obviously you would never use him for his attack and his retreat cost is cringe worthy. His power makes him an searchable judge and he is a great Sableye counter. With seeker you can use him to shuffle a benched pokemon back into the deck or using him as an additional judge. It's been well pointed out that judge can replace much of what he used to do, but there is still the advantage of playing him on the first turn and not using up a supporter. This is a great card IMO, that can disrupt and in some cases cripple an opponents deck.

Today's CotD is Giratina from PL, a card that still warrants usage as essentially an easily searchable Judge. Statwise 100 HP is excellent for a Basic, x2 Weakness to :dark: is eh, -20 Resistance to :colorless: is useful, and :colorless::colorless::colorless: to Retreat is pricey. Let Loose is basically the card that inspired the Judge Supporter effect, and still serves as a nice bit of disruption; in fact, its strength is that it's far more easy to search out Giratina for Let Loose instead of randomly picking up a Judge from the deck. However, Giratina also eats up a bench slot, which is a concern for some decks. Earth Power is there if you're forced to attack with it somehow, :psychic::psychic::colorless: for 60 is weak, but getting to flip 2 coins and dealing 10 damage to all of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for each Heads is decent.

Modified - 7/10 (Still a nice tech for decks wanting access to Judge quicker)
Limited - 8/10 (Mainly because he's a big basic, the attack isn't great, but it's not bad either)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here, better options for disruption that don't require you to use him)

Let Loose is a really awesome power. Giving the opponent 4 cards to work with is extremely deadly now with Claydol out of the format. It is extremely disruptive and can be used to stop Cyrus chains, and the best thing is that it can be searched out with Pokemon Collector.

Aside from the Poke-Power, the only thing good about it is the Lv. X, and you might not be able to get that out. Otherwise, 100 HP is decent, but the Retreat Cost is pretty bad, and you can expect LuxChomp to Bright Look this heavy guy up after it's used to stall.

8/10

cant put pokemon in lost zone
0/10

no wait level x can nm
10/10

Ok now i'm sure you're joking. (right?)

On topic, 7.5/10 great disruption card, judge is better in some situations but you can use this if you don't wan't to use up your supporter for the turn.
